Mine....My 8th birthday...my dad and I were on the way home from my party when we see at the small county airport a big "Airshow" Banner. We pull in, park, and walk around for about a half hour to find the place pretty dull. So as we leave the parking lot and are on our way home, my dad out of nowhere slams on the breaks and points THROUGH the trees to a large aircraft headed to the airshow. He turns around and starts to head back to the airport (Exceeding the speed limit) . I just wanted to let anyone who cares know, I finally got my PRK waiver after 6+ years of fighting including 3 visits to Brooks (after I got my pilot slot) 6 months as a HQ staff exec 5 months as a staff weenie :rolleyes: and extensive sweating and praying. Now the real work begins! For those who are still fighting, never give up. I had 2 waivers approved and pulled. I had orders to Laughlin 3 times. I had 4 waivers disapproved. I applied to the AD UPT board 4 times before I was selected. I PCSed 4 times in the last 10 months (including 2 in San Antonio). I Took the AFOQT and BAT twice. The AP and UPI reported that the French Government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from Run to Hide. The only two higher levels in France are Surrender and Collaborate. The rise was precipitated by a recent fire which destroyed France's white flag factory, effectively disabling their military.

Alright, this will probably frustrate some of you but I can't figure it out. I have downloaded some zip files for MS2004 but don't know what to do after that to install them on the sim. If any of you could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. I did look at the post about where to get the downloads but didn't see how to do them...FYI.

I had an interview with an air national guard unit recently and I got selected for pilot. I had applied to AD Air Force prior to the interview but as you know the boards were cancelled. I will meet the AD Board this January. What happens if I get a slot. Can you transfer over? Or after you swear in is that it?

I have my first interview on Sunday and have a questions about what to wear. I am a civilian right now and was planning a wearing a black suit. What color shirt would be better, white or blue? Just want to look my best and still have some personality. Thanks for any advice!!

I am wondering what kinds of non flying jobs you reserve guys might have within your units that help support you (and your family) in addition to flight time. Or what jobs do you have outside of the units that allow you time to fly. Or do you find that you get enough flight time to not have to worry about a second job. In college I majored in International Studies. Basically that consists of politics, economics, history, literature, geography etc. Typically it was more of an analytical work. I would be given a country to study, then forcast how it would react politically, economically etc to the actions of neighboring countries and world events as a whole. Are t…

If you go the 38 route, can you pretty much get a bomber if you know you want one from the get go? It seems to me from the posts on here that bombers aren't the top pick for the majority of 38 guys. My guess would be if you want a bomber, it wouldn't be a prob. I just wanted to ask the question to see if I'm on the right track. Thanks.

I may be exposing my week brainpower here but was wondering if anyone could suggest some techniques for practicing ops limits. I’m able to do it in writing on the "fill in the blank" sheet. But when it comes to randomly having someone ask me one while standing up I can't seem to spit them out especially with the associated note that may go along with it. We hit the flightline a week from Thursday and I’m trying to get these down. So if anyone has some suggestions for what worked for them please share! Thanks

Anyone have any experience with having a drum set on base? I'm assuming I'm going to have to live in a house off base if I want to bring my drums with me. Any thoughts? (BTW-selling them is not an option)

I picked up golf recently and I have a kind of mis-matched set (dad and grandfathers old clubs). I want to buy some new clubs, but not spend a ridiculous amount. I know its a little off the subject, but I wanted to get opinions of people not trying to sell to me. Any suggestions on what to stay away from, or what would be a good beginner set? Thx
