June 20, 201015 yr I definitely had no idea what UPT was going to be like; I'll give you that :P It's been hella hard at times, but I'm having a blast learning how to fly. I've actually grown as a person and learned a lot about myself so far as well. Good, just checking. That was pretty much our whole point in the ROTC thread. At least you had some skull's up before you got there. Anyone happen to catch Vance? Also, were both of the U-28s at Columbus from 38s? Vance T-38 drop was something like: F-16 A-10 (ANG) NSA E-8 C-17 KC-125 McConnell T-6 FAIP RPA Cannon Edited June 20, 201015 yr by Hacker

July 31, 201015 yr CB 10-13 (T-38's) F-22 F-15C F-15E F-16 B-52 One of the best damn drops I've ever seen! I'm having trouble remembering all 18 of the T-1 drops, but I'll talk with the bros and post them up here soon. From what I remember the T-1 Drop was: KC-10 Travis (x2) KC-135 Pittsburgh, Grissom, Knoxville, Salt Lake City (all ANG/AFRC) C-17 Travis C-17 Charleston C-17 McGuire KC-135 Hickam C-5 Dover(?) RC-135 Offutt E-8 Warner-Robbins T-6 Columbus RPA Creech (x2) That's only 16 so maybe I missed a couple. I've been here 2 & 1/2 hears and have never seen a drop come close to that good - from either side. 4 fighters and no UAVs for the -38 guys, no Cannon for anyone, and with the exception of the FAIP & UAVs, I understand that every T-1 guy got one of their top 4 choices. Lots of big cheesy smiles last night.
July 31, 201015 yr Vance's drop was pretty damn awesome too. I can't remember all of the T-1s. Bunch of tankers and only 3 RPA's I think. And an AC-130 to Hurlburt. The 38's was something like (2) F-16's Luke F-15C Klamath Falls A-10 T-38 Faip B-52 I think thats it. Maybe a T-6 Faip.

August 21, 201015 yr Just got off the phone w/ my buddy who was at the XL drop tonight... 0 RPA's, 1 FAIP and apparently the Wing CC had a pretty cool little speech at the end... Here's what he sent me afterwards: "A-10 F-15E 2 C-17 elmo 2 KC-10 E-3 C-130 C-130 Japan EC-130 T-1 FAIP B-52 2 KC-135 C-17 Reserve F-15C Tyndall 3 C-17 HC-130 U-28 NO RPAs!!!" The F-15C to Tyndall dude was pulled back up onstage apparently and the Wing CC said something about how he was TDY and negotiated a different assignment for him. Said something like "You're going to the F-22!!!" and everyone went nuts hahaha. Sounds like a great night for the XL studs.
