The dude flying this was one of the best pilots I ever flew with.

I wish I could say it was me but I was somewhere else that day.

Always need to send some love and mucho respect to my rotary wing bros.  But, I can't imagine making my living doing that.  I had two rides in a helo.  CH-53 to a carrier and back.  Felt absolutely wrong.  I shouldn't have been that high up with that little forward airspeed and not screaming like a girl.

I'm glad someone wants to do that and if I was ever gonna be on one it was because they came to get me, under fire, risking their asses and I would have been far happier to be on that bucket of bolts getting out of Dodge than I would have been getting captured by the other side.  Here's to you boys. 🍻

Tornado at Wright Pat fucked some shit up.

I remember refueling one of those beasts (BUFFs) somewhere over the Indian Ocean in July of 2002.   That was my first real mission ever.  Pitch black over the Ocean.  Amn Biff and a giant boom.

On another mission, around the 02-05 timeframe, I remember refueling a B-1 while it's after burners were lit going over a beatiful snowy mountain in Afghanistan.

Some much hate .. yet so much beauty at the same time.

Any BUFF dudes/dudettes know if the new engines will have cart start capabilities?  I imagine there has be some sort of OP8010-12 (SIOP for the old heads) requirement for that.

Lol.  That dude bounced like an ex helo pilot who's landing at the end of his duty day.
