December 5, 20214 yr I have been receiving a lot of emails asking if we will be hosting any rushing events or allowing visitations. In order to be able to evaluate each applicant equally and without potential bias, we will not be hosting or allowing base visits during our application window. If selected for an interview, you will have plenty of time to get to know the Blacksnake’s.
December 7, 20214 yr Has anyone heard of guys/gals who were rated pilots in other airframes who then later transitioned over to a guard/reserve fighter slot?

The posting said interview candidate announcements would come between Dec. 1st-5th. So I'm assuming we didn't get interviews. I did try emailing them for feedback but haven't heard anything yet from that either.

Definitely much lower chances though if you’re coming from a non-fighter I wonder if it’s because they only have a certain amount of transition slots available per year and then they want to make sure someone can get through the training.
December 11, 20214 yr TX slots are not numerous, chances of success are pretty much 100% if your transitioning from another fighter (vs. coming from a non-fighter background), and if you do TX from a non-fighter, you’re starting over as the “young, inexperienced” guy…except you’re a Maj instead of a LT/young Capt. Those are the three big hurdles. Not impossible to get past, but it’s hard, even for the greatest bros out there.
December 11, 20214 yr Makes sense. I guess it all comes down to money at the end of the day. I guess if we were in a large scale conflict or if the demand would outweigh the cost you would see things like this happening more often. What about a guy transitioning from a heavy to a bomber?
December 23, 20214 yr Friends, One of those "long time stalker, first time poster" dudes. Is anyone here with the 181st AS or know a POC to talk to about future rated pilot hiring? Thanks in advance for any and all help, Happy Holidays!
December 31, 20214 yr I could just be overthinking things with the holidays and all, but has anyone heard back from the 314 ARS at Beale on interviews?

I wouldn’t expect to hear anything until next week at the earliest. Most units do minimum manning for the holidays so it’s probably been at the very back of their minds. Good luck, I was going to apply before I got picked up at another unit. I grew up in that area and would love to go back one day.
February 2, 20224 yr Hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy. Wanted to check here to see if anyone heard from the Texas ANG out of Fort Worth on their upcoming boards?

March 7, 20224 yr Anybody here who submitted to the 100th FS F-35s get a response confirming receipt of application package? I believe they said they would within a few days, and to reach out if you didn't get that. I know it hasn't even been a week, but just figured I'd ask here! Best of luck to those who applied!
