February 9, 201213 yr Just thinking out loud, looking for some opinions. I'm up for assignment, not soon, but soon enough to begin thinking about it. I have nothing to weigh me down and have pretty much decided that I want to go OCONUS. I'm not a flyer but Intel, and will not be restricted to just AF billets - wouldn't mind joint billet. Thoughts on different locations in terms of quality of life, things to do, cost, mission etc etc.? Wouldn't mind a beach.. Edited February 9, 201213 yr by ForgotPassword
February 9, 201213 yr Crab Island That's what the ladies will call his gooch once his OCONUS assignment is over.

There is a chick there named Songton Sally... she'll hook you up.
February 10, 201213 yr Kadena is pretty radical for young, single types. If you're not looking for young, single types of the opposite gender.

February 10, 201213 yr Hands down, Yokota. Living in metro Tokyo, access to the entire Pacific region via Narita/Haneda, not to mention Japan itself has a ton to do. You won't regret it.
February 10, 201213 yr US Embassy Bangkok. They got an AF billet there you can fill (as well as a lot of other stuff to fill).
February 10, 201213 yr I've heard several dudes rave about the "opportunities" at Yokota. Edited February 10, 201213 yr by pbar
February 10, 201213 yr Seriously though, talk to your assignments officer. One thing I see during the pilot assignment process is cool billets that end up being hard to fill. For instance NATO has short tours in Italy. Since most guys don't volunteer for a short tour, these billets end up getting filled by non-vols. And really, it's simply cause folks don't know about them. Talk to your AFPC rep and see what's out there.

February 10, 201213 yr Be very, very careful. https://www.bangkokdi...a-thai-ladyboy/ 70%...which is not enough for me to risk it. The cost of failure is just too high.
February 10, 201213 yr Clark AFB... I was looking for a picture of the front gate when you beat me to it. This will have to do...
February 10, 201213 yr Author I can see the patch design for Bangkok now - A giant question mark with "You got a crank?" underneath
February 11, 201213 yr Anywhere in PACAF. But I've got stage 4 Yellow Fever so my .02 cents comes with a slanted bias, if you will.
February 11, 201213 yr Kadena is pretty radical for young, single types. If you're not looking for young, single types of the opposite gender. I LOL'd. Hands down, Yokota. Living in metro Tokyo, access to the entire Pacific region via Narita/Haneda, not to mention Japan itself has a ton to do. You won't regret it. I've visited my slick buddies up there, great assignment. Tokyo is awesome, and Japanese Scotch is the bollocks.
