Anyone with AFPC or UPT assignment insight know what's going on with all the Herks dropping to T-1 classes? Can we expect it to continue throughout the fiscal year? Indefinitely? Also, seems like all the AFSOC planes are still going to Corpus, but lots of AMC and ACC Herks for the recent Toners.

Perhaps Corpus is at capacity? I've heard LR is boosting output CY 10.

I know the C-130J needs more people as a new, growing community. And consider that most of the aircrew transferring to J come from the Legacy community, so it's probably creating a vacuum there.

I think the Navy is concerned that it soon will be. The TC-12 squadron is (allegedly) closing sometime in the next few years, and the Navy apparently told the Air Force it wouldn't be able to handle the same amount of AF students coming through the pipeline. Too bad for future AF studs, Corpus was an awesome time.

Part of it is they havn't increased the amount of guys going to Corpus, but they have changed what Corpus can drop. Now people are getting U-28's, MC-12's, UAV's, NSA etc. on top of the herks, whereas it used to just be herks. Still need to get those herk pilots from somewhere and they are getting less of them from Corpus now.

What? You mean they figured it out that everbody that wanted to avoid UAVs was tracking T-44s?
