Taxes, the Deficit/Debt, and the Fiscal Cliff
This "president" has no credibility lecturing Americans to raise the debt ceiling.

Kerry for the Cabinet?
I remember reading on this very site about someone flying him around Asia in a C-12 and how he and his staff were complete douches. He apparently showed up 5 hours late without telling the pilots while the pilots were waiting causing the pilots to go hungry.

Kerry for the Cabinet?
He apologized for his anti-gay comment back in 1998, and several gay rights groups accepted his apology. The only person who didn't was Barney Frank (who cares what he thinks.)

Taxes, the Deficit/Debt, and the Fiscal Cliff
His e signature was his only contribution to the fiscal cliff debate. He even sent Biden to do the negotiating while he was on vacation. I am still amazed that the man who lectures Americans on paying their fair share of taxes takes a tax payer funded vacation days before most Amercans would have seen one of the largest tax hikes in history. How people can define this as leadership is beyond me. And for the record, the same criticism extends to republican and democratic congressmen/senators.

Taxes, the Deficit/Debt, and the Fiscal Cliff
Well most of the folks asking for lower taxes are also calling for reduced spending (I.e Paul Ryan, Rand Paul, etc.) The people asking for more government programs don't have a problem calling for higher taxes as long as it is on those who earn more than them. Indeed, after this election, I believe we are reaching an ideological rift in this country on which direction to go: European style massive government / high taxes , or, limited government with lower taxes. I sure hope we don't venture even further into the former.

The Mother of all CGOCs
Sad thing is, these CGOC types will get promoted and be the ones making the decisions we will be talking about on baseops.

Aren't the planes owned by the museum and not the DOD and thus can tell the Air Force to pack sand if they ask them to remove the nose art?

Blues on Monday
Any word on PACAF? Can't imagine a more sadistic insult to injury to all the Yokota, Misawa and Kadena guys right now than retaining blues Monday.

The Mother of all CGOCs
I am pretty sure I am intimately familiar with DTS, more so than half these finance "troops." How do they not know what a C-130 is, especially considering it "brings them their mail" while they are slaving away, deployed, working in air conditioned offices from 9-3 with a one hour lunch break?

Lt Gen Sam Angelella
I met him while I was on ops air force as a cadet (go ahead laugh,) when he was the wing king at Misawa. Stand up guy, invited us for dinner and drinks at his house. Best mentoring session ever. He is now the three star here in Japan, everyone seems to like him.

NAS Whiting training info
Also, understand that if you get T-38s out of whiting, you may be behind when you start 38s at Vance. In most cases, you will not have flown for several months while your air force counterparts would have just finished their last T-6 flight when you join them. They have also done double the formation flights (a significant portion of the 38 syllabus) you had done at Whiting (unless the Whiting syllabus changed,) and have been flying under air force rules for six months. Can you catch up? Absolutely. Several Whiting guys end up at the top of their class at Vance. Just realize it is an extra hurdle for many.

War with Iran and your career
If it meant I will have the opportunity to actually help employ my herc in combat instead of being voluntold to plan parties and ceremonies because it will "look good on my OPR" then I would absolutely stay in.

Current Ops Tempo Question
Yokota is pretty calm, you might fly 5 hours a month and you will have to fight for a 2 month deployment , which may happen once while you are here. You are probably gone a few days every few months. Just FYI incase you were pondering base choices for 130s.
