  1. Anyone know if you can drop 135’s to March ARB as active duty. I know they have a AD tenant unit there. Trying to gage if it’s possible. Thanks in advance!

It has happened, but I wouldn’t count on it unless you have a join spouse preference. I’m also pretty sure it’s a reverse associate unit, not AD tenant.

  2. How does Flight Pay work wrt being DNIF for over a year?  I was under the impression that if I met my gate months I was good for flight pay.  I've been DNIF for over a year and was just notified that I would lose my flight pay despite the fact I have more than 200 gate months.  Others have said I should not lose my flight pay as they have been DNIF for 1+ years and still receive flight pay.  I still have a valid PHA as well.

Sims won’t help. Long term DNIF will cause loss of flight pay. I believe it’s either in 11-401 or 402. Your SARM or HARM can probably clarify for you.

  3. it has nothing do with FBF. It has to do with capacity and it’s a real COA being discussed at air staff

The same Air Staff that decided that a red bird sim is a valid replacement for an aircraft? Let’s go full(er) retard and make a Phase 3 where the studs just watch tik tok.

*Please don’t suggest this to anyone in the puzzle palace, they’ll probably run with it.

  4. Homos are 18Xs more likely to be pedos. The three predilections I lumped together, all deny reality and the design of humanity. To engage in any of that behavior is bad for the individual, the culture, and society as a whole. I know when it’s personal it’s more difficult to see the truth but that doesn’t change the facts.

  5. Are any of the sims FAA certified at UPT? wondering if any of those hours count.
From what i found searching the google, for actual jet time you will get 96 hours in the T-6 and 42.8 hours in the T-1 with UPT 2.5

Don’t know if there are any certified sims in the AF, but honestly, it doesn’t matter. You’ll have the 750 for an R-ATP, and 1500 for an unrestricted in no time. Once you’ve cleared that hurdle, time in an aircraft is the only thing that matters for the airlines. When I did my ATP/type, my partner thought that sim time would help him regain recency for the purposes of getting hired (spoiler: it didn’t).

  6. I just meant primary and advanced the same for everyone like 37 to 38 or T-6 to T-7 for all.

We’re not buying enough T-7s to make that a reality.

  7. Shooting from the keyboard but seemed like a good round number but not out of the realm of possibility
Some of it could be sim time at a UPT base, I could see that being used for instrument and EP work but in my opinion a certain amount of flight time is required for the experience and evaluation of the student.
Short field work, uncontrolled fields, off runway operators, NVGs, formation, practice using SPINs, military comms, etc… some of the topics to be introduced to in this syllabus
50 hours could probably be enough to give the students a taste of each and not be a sip from the firehose, particularly when coupled with the new tech available to familiarize them to the mission before engines are running (PC based VR flight simulations, mission replay and critique, etc…)
It (the heavy track) has to be a challenging process to get thru, you’ll get strong aviators and officers out of it, and I’ll close my sermon on that point

Good luck with that. With the current syllabus we have about 25 hours of trans/nav, and some can barely land the plane. 25 hours of form/AD/AR with MIF as a fair. Where in there are we supposed to teach all your “advanced” training that isn’t even relevant to everyone?

  8. Quite likely
The pointy nose are getting a new jet (eventually) and could have had one earlier (T-50) but don't forget the crew aircraft bound students, if the Navy can figure out how to get a new multi engine trainer we can too..
    https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20230215005839/en/Textron-Aviation-Special-Missions-Beechcraft-King-Air-260-chosen-as-new-U.S.-Navy-Multi-Engine-Training-System-METS
I'll be a broken record for that lurking person on this thread that can make this happen...
Students bound for crew based platforms following track select:
X more hours in the T-6 focusing on cross country and experience in new fields and mission planning (I think they already do this with UPT Next)
Establish training contract with civilian flight company for initial ME training, 15 hours.
Travel to Flight Safety, get initial type training in Beech KA 260, academics and sims, no type check but basic prof check at end observed by USAF, 6 weeks should cover it with slop.
50 hour multi engine flight training program

50 hours multi-engine? Sounds kind of like the current T-1 syllabus.

  9. I rarely support lawsuits, but I hope this guy sues this girl/her family for 10s of millions…loss of wages, career earnings potential, defamation, etc.

Without looking his accuser up, I doubt she has the assets to make up for the lost wages, even as an NFL punter who aren’t the highest paid in the league.

  10. Thanks. Recently hired as heavy guard and meet the xpw requirements. Process still the same, show up to UPT and volunteer?

No, your guard unit is probably paying for a T-6 slot for you.

  11. For those people you knew who switched over, did someone come to them and ask if they wanted a slot, or did they just post a transfer board up that notified the eligible people? Or did those people have some high ranking contact or know someone high up in AFPC who was able to make a change for them?

Dude, based on your SA, you shouldn’t be flying anything. Several of us posted your options, and you apparently didn’t bother to read any of them.

  12. I see the issue now, we're talking past each other. It's now clear to me you both consider the term "white Hispanic" oxymoronic.
I was trying to highlight to you, perhaps more sarcastically than i should have, that Hispanic is not a race. It is therefore beyond presumptuous to treat the use of white as equivalent to Anglo. You can certainly do that, but as a white Hispanic I'm going to check you on it every time.
The KKK quip was tongue in cheek.
I agree with you the other poster probably did mean Anglo, and that is a mischaracterization. You are correct there.

Fair enough, apologies for calling you a dumbass.

  13. Not white, Anglo. Lopez Colon is white.

So how am I in the KKK when you’re calling him white while I sarcastically called him “white hispanic?” He’s Hispanic, maybe he’s a she if zer identifies as such, but FLEA calling him a “white dude” is the mischaracterization here.

  14. Still an incredibly slim chance, but FAIPing T-6s would be your best bet. If you do that and kick ass, and have the right timing and commander, you may have a shot. Still incredibly rare, but it’s not unprecedented. 2nd best bet is to fly heavies, then U-2, B-2, or B-21 (depending on how they staff it and if they use the -38 or 7 as a companion trainer).

  15. What in the ku klux klan are you implying? Yes,  Colón-López is 1st generation Puerto Rican. Yes, we exist. Not all of us are phenotypically mestizo, hence the white hispanic moniker. Latter which is mostly an Anglo-centering invention anyways.
We don't make such distinctions. We're all just Ricans/Boricuas amongst each other (well, except carpet-bagging NYC-born and raised Nuyoricans like AOC, I'll cred-check her all day, she can't gaslight me lol).
Don't misunderstand, our culture can be colorist, just like most Caribbean LAMA and South America, but we don't obsess over complexion to the insufferable degree Anglos and CONUS-raised Hispanics do.
As to Rambo's comments, I don't think his Hispanic background, nor whatever "white passing" critique some Anglos may want to latch on to, is relevant as to whether they are to be considered contemptible. Douchebags come in all ethnic flavors and colors. Now to quote ol Rodney, can't we all just get along?

I was calling out FLEA for calling him white, you dumbass.

  16. I haven't confirmed it with 23 and me but I'm going to take a flying leap here and say he's not a middle aged white dude.

Oh, he’s White Hispanic, like The NY Times called George Zimmerman.

  17. XPW still a thing? What's the process to get that?

Get to a UPT base before the last class starts and volunteer. T-1 is projected to be done at Laughlin in 2024, and Vance and Columbus in 2025.
