I wouldnt even try to argue about the previously qualed portion and stick to the 10 yr adsc clause. If it does not specifically say thar 1c nullified 1b then i would point thar out. Have you already pcsd and recieved the training?

I think the issue is which clause takes priority.

Does it say that note 1c specifically overrules 1b? They didnt push back when i pointed out the 1b clause when i brought this up about 4 yrs ago

I didnt have the patience to read your entire post. Nor was I an early eligible last year (long past that window). However the general understanding in my squadron last year was that if you were an early bonus taker the AF would ensure that you would be able to replace the contract with the updated one when it came out when you were "in the zone" without extracting more time. In any case this only discourages people from signing up early if they believe that the numbers will increase. IMHO the freedom to walk is well worth passing up 25-35k.

Funny thing is that i would have actually taken it this year. And with the reserves offering a 1-3 yr bonus that i would have been eligible for, i would have gone that route. I think this is gonna convince even more people to switch over.

Last 2 years they offered uncommitted eligible pilots a bonus option. Guess they fixed the shortage in those year groups since then...

But if youre concurrently serving a PCS commitment +/- a few months it wont matter.

No uncommited eligible option. Im actually surprised. 1-2 yr option is great for those few people who are waiting out a pcs adsc. I bet that inflates the take rate and allows afpc to claim victory.
