  1. I did the UVU online program due to balancing out work, raising a family, and school. The program was good and suited my needs. In regards to getting a ANG slot, it didn’t hinder me getting interviews. Don’t know about the airline aspect as I’m not there yet.

One thing to keep in mind is that not all credits from schools transfer over to others, so you may end up wasting time and money taking unecessary classes to get your associates in the beginning.

  2. Yes, bogi dope is absolutely worth the money. I used both the packet review and interview prep leading up to my first interview. Thought I was prepared, but was completely wrong after doing a single session with them and it gives you good SA on what you should be prepared for.

So I’m not going to able to convince the wife to let me spend $250 on consulting for an application packet. I was talking to a guy earlier but he ghosted on me. Does anyone mind letting me look at their resume and cover letter for an example? Help a brother out.

Click on the link for the upcoming 119th FS UPT board. This is a basic example of how things should be. Also, most boards give instruction on what they what in the packets.

Most of us are gone. My group got hit with a ton of UAVs, Capt promotion boards, two VSPs and a RIF. I have more yet group friends flying for Delta now than I do left in the AF. Back when they opened up crossflow for us, I asked a lot of my buddies if they would sign up for a 3 year ADSC to fly the fighters they were promised and not a single one said they would. The ship is sinking gents, grab a life vest and hold on.

  5. See the below link. It says that the TBAS can only be taking twice, but I would email them to see if a waiver can be given to retest for a 3rd time. Also, have you acquired more flight time since you took the test? If so, email them a copy of your log book that reflects the new hours and it will be updated in a few days.

How do I update my flying hours ?

If you accumulate more flying hours after your initial PCSM score, you need to forward this information to the PCSM Program Office. Scan the left and right sides, including total, of the last page of your logbook. Email both the Commanders Letter and the log book pages to AFPC.PCSM@us.af.mil

Upon receipt of all correct documents, udates are entered into the system within 1 business day. See Update Flying Hours

How do I update my AFOQT scores ?

If you retake the AFOQT, your scores will normally be automatically forwarded to the PCSM office. However, if you feel there is a problem, you should contact the Program Office via email. Your PCSM score is calculated using the latest AFOQT Pilot or EPQT score on file, not necessarily the best. In other words, if you retake the AFOQT (or EPQT) and your Pilot score drops, your PCSM score will be adjusted accordingly.

    TBAS Test/Retest Policy.

Candidates are allowed 2 attempts at the TBAS test. TBAS tests must have a minumum of 180 days between attempts.

If you’re a member of “The Pilot Network” on Facebook, all these dweebs are stumbling all over themselves to shit on Top Gun because it wasn’t Schindler’s List or something. It always cracks me up when people point out how inaccurate the movie is. No shit it’s inaccurate. It’s also entertaining as hell for a kid in the 80’s/90’s and still fun to watch.

Sorry, I got #triggered for a second there.

You now need to locate your nearest “safe space” to help heal your feelings

When I was a young Airman, making $1k/mo, those discounts mattered a lot.  I happily took them, along with food stamps and WIC, so my family could eat.  Today, with a much healthier budget, I still like to say thank you by supporting the businesses that offer them.  At restaurants, specifically, I tip back the entirety of the discount to the waitstaff on top of normal tip.   Personal choice. In terms of plates, most Texans don't park in the Randolph parking lot.  They do, however, see a random MSM plate in their town and feel a swell of pride and patriotism.  I know, because I was once that young kid in a non-military heavy Texas town.  Yes, the free registration is nice, but it also plays a small part in preserving Texas culture.

Such bullshit that this article was even written or that charges were filed.  The alleged victim, who made the allegations, is his soon to be ex-wife who, until a couple days ago, was fighting a losing battle for custody.  Sad and disgusting that a dude's name is dragged through the mud before any of the facts of the case come to light.

The most serious charge against Costello alleges that he raped a sleeping woman in 2014.”

Bullshit. Married man came home and was feeling frisky, so he made a strategic move on his wife and was successful. End of allegation.

    All,

I’m an USMC F/A-18 IP on terminal leave with the desire to TX to the AFRES/ANG. I was offered a position with a fighter unit but need a medical waiver. Does anyone have some guidance on who I should speak to about the process ahead?

    Much thanks for any assistance.

Not a pilot, but was recently shown this and it may help.

I failed it at MEPS as well, couldn't get past line B either. My Reserve recruiter had me drive to the nearest base for an appointment with the med group, where I did basically every eye test you'll end up doing at the FC1. Was able to pass depth perception there due to having more time with it, less stress, and an examiner who gave me some tips (wiggling your head and trusting your gut got me a long way through it). After passing there, I was back on track to my FC1.

Don't sweat it, I stressed too much about it but you'll get through eventually.

Did that change your MEPS physical showing your depth perception was good or does it even matter what MEPS says?

  11. Was at MEPS today and failed the depth perception test at line B (I did it wrong) and now at my optometrist getting an eye exam. What kind of uphill battle am I looking at now? A retest at MEPS? Will the optometrist visit subside for me to go back? Thank you.
