Before your first interview. No matter how good a person is at interviewing they can always polish it up a little more. And why wouldn’t you go the extra step with consultation? You’ve already put in all this work so far. I wish I had done consultation from the get go. Woulda saved me a lot of money getting hired after the first interview instead of after 8

I would listen to this poster...

Here are some pics from the flying in between the racing.

Jim Bryant is a photographer that doesn't crop, doesn't use PhotoShop, and only shoots in one-shot mode.  He does very nice work, as you can see.

Not 100% on this but i beleive the intent is if the interview doesn’t go well or other circumstances make the U-2 not a good fit, they will go back into the assignment pool for any CAF assignment.

More to follow.  Should be interesting, and a great opportunity for the right person.

U-2 reservists (and T-38 CTP) to me has always seemed like a no brainer, but it’s been tabled for all the years we were sunset.  The gears are turning now, i think it will happen eventually.  Especially if we have any hope of retaining talent and experience in this current climate.

I’ll be a guinea pig for the reserves!

Step 1:  Start out wide eyed and bushy tailed. Flying fighters/heavies/helos is the best thing you've ever done.

Step 2: Try to change the world.

Step 3: Get struck down for Step 2. Become disillusioned as the machine attempts to swallow you whole. (See: Monkey/Cage theory)

Step 4: Find a Guard/Reserve Unit and GTFO.

Step 5: Get hired by the airlines.  Make a lot of money.

Step 6: Military flying becomes fun again because you're suddenly kevlar and a true volunteer. You don't care about changing the world and the feeling from Step 1 returns.

    Step 7: ???

    Step 8: Profit.

Step 6 sounds great, but you forgot step 9...
