  1. Great advice. The last time I did this was mid '90s when I carried a little black book with all the contact info for different locations (taxi's, lodging, paper maps, bus schedules, terminals, etc) (think, no iphone, very limited intranet) I'm curious to see if the adventure has changed (for better or worse) with all this tech. Where did you go for the trip BTW??
  2. Just did this a few months ago. ATP written completed in 2009. All the examiner wanted from me was a letter from the CO stating I had been an active mil flyer at the time I took the ATP in 2009. ATP complete!!!
  3. Reference the FAR's, the ATP written is good indefinitely for military as long as you are/were an active flyer with a unit. Cheers
  4. Wow, I'm 4 mo. shy of 20 and I don't even know what this BAC+ is !!!!!

  9. Good lord, I'm 38 yrs old w/ no Masters, 19 yrs complete. When I had to wait on a commission after the Army transitioning to the AF, I took the year off and had the time of my life. How times have changed.
  10. Awesome, and so true, hats and keys on the desk and nowhere to be found
  11. Checks, if this were a Herc crew, we would've been coordinating dips, 1801, PPR, lodging, trans, etc. etc. IFM package, what's that??
  12. I wonder if Pararescue will open up the door. Pentagon classifies them as front-line.
  13. The IP schoolhouse for the H will be all sim based??? Wow
  14. Ditto, been going strong since the A20 came out (2+ yrs ago?) No issues, ipod hookup is money as well.

    POG

Wrong, we used this in the Army as well, usually under the guise of "REMF-POGUE" (not POG). Cheers
  16. Hey MCO, any H models helping out in ETAR from the ANG/AFRC (ie under TACC etc)??
  17. We used it all up until a year ago!! Old School
  18. What is the process/guidelines for submitting credit hours for a BAC+?? I have about 13 grad credits from 13 years ago!! + 3 credits from SOS = 15 hours (eligible for BAC+)
  19. Anyone know how many Master's credits can be obtained by doing SOS in res?

    Pilot watches

Ditto on the Casio Pathfinder. I've had one for 2 years and no issues. Backpacking, skiing, etc. Solar power/auto sync w/ Ft. Collins every night/no battery to change are all a plus. And its only about 100 bucks.
  21. Nah, just a little sarcasm for those that didn't have a clue.
  22. Take your cool kid weed talk elsewhere. Dumbass Caddyshack?
  23. It's sad I only know what 1/2 those acronymns stand for and I'm almost ready to retire!!!!!
  24. As a former AO class 94-09 (one of the last), this brought back some great memories. Thanks for sharing. "Scout's out"
  25. PM me and i can give you some specifics if needed. Short story, I went through this 10 years ago, failed red lens test. After a 3 day eval at Brooks, they determined I had mild esophoria of the right eye, normal, normal on everything else ie 20/10 vision etc. There is a study group ongoing in the AF (several dozen of us??). If everything else checks out, they will give you a waiver, put you in the study group, and you'll have to follow up once a year taking various tests (intra-ocular pressure, Humphrey visual field test, etc.) This is done to see if the condition worsens with age. Mine was determined to be congenital (since birth).
