They are old old planes. Some of the people flying them have parents who weren't born when the first ones rolled off the shelves. They've been saying for a long time that we need new tankers.
I'm deployed for an extended period of time and am somewhat tempted to cash out of my non-IRA mutual funds. This year will be the lowest income year I have for the rest of my life and I can probably get myself down to the 15% tax bracket or lower, which means I'll have very low capital gains tax. I'm leaning towards putting it into precious metals and land. TSP and Roth IRA will still be bumping along.
Folks are getting a bit passionate. I suspect New York will see mass non-compliance.

I had a momentary loss of SA while looking at midget porn. I got distracted and posted a link about JSTARS sabotage and called it an AWACS. /shrug... They're both white 707 airframes that cause their male aircrew to only generate female offspring. Both have the "E" model turbofans too, IIRC.

Rainman speaks wise words. Since Creech cut off media tours, imagine all the outlets that are flocking to Holloman these days. You put a dozen reporters out there for hours on end, of course someone's going to get a less than flattering quote. Hell, look at what the NYT did a couple months ago with the "oh my god, they're following CARS ON THE HIGHWAY! They might have followed ME! Oh shit, they're hustling me away from an uncomfortable question" part of the article. Who doesn't use their TGP to practice on random shit when they're flying around?
