As the others said, no bonus as a TR, long-term man days or not. Additionally, even if you are able to get someone to offer you a 3 year set of orders (man days, not AGR) do not trust that person or those orders, i.e. have a back up plan. No one in AFRC right now can speak to money for April let alone 3 years from now. Nor can active duty. I know several guys who got PFI orders or other long term gigs with the promise of 3 years, but turns out the money was not there to back it up for the whole time...the cash is flowing 6 months at a time, which means it is all very iffy. Who knows if that paper is worth anything in a year. Just sayin'.

I've heard a lot of generals talk about the importance of advanced degrees and how they contribute to creating better "thinkers". I always scoffed at that theory, especially given the quality of education we promote via the unthinking (ironic?) nature of the AF's education policy (i.e. treated as a square, subject matter is irrelevant and tuition assistance only pays enough for worthless degrees). But then I come on here and see posts like this and many of the previous ones where dudes simply cannot use their brains to think about problems differently at all I, for one, am quite glad to see the AF finally thinking a bit outside the container. It's been a long time since we did that on a proactive basis, rather than a reactive basis. Shit, maybe even a diploma mill degree would help some of you develop thinking skills after all.

Given that the whole strafing thing was common knowledge to dudes who have been around the CAF for a while, I didn't really think it was fucking necessary to go on Wikipedia to find a different source just to prove well known facts to you.

C-models strafed (and successfully blew shit up) in WW-Storm. It was a pick up game but it happened. There are lots of good reasons to get serious about strafing in the Mighty Mighty. But anything to do with slow moving aircraft (did you really say that?) is not even remotely why.

My point was not to actually have a TSgt write you an LOR. My point was that a recommendation from someone who does not even know who you are is fucking worthless...just like a recommendation from a TSgt.

If they didn't know you, they shouldn't write a recommendation for you and you shouldn't ask. A recommendation from a TSgt that knows you well is worth more than a recommendation from a colonel who doesn't know who you are.
