Just bought a Taurus 738 TCP (.380) for the wife to carry, however I still can't find .380 ammo around here. When it does come back in stock, does anyone know what a fair price is? All my other handguns are 9mm and .40. Thanks!

Getting to the party a little late on this one, but I was surprised to hear a rep from AFPC state that AFSC shortages/overages have ZERO weight in promotion. So even though many of our fighter brethren are only 40% manned, once the Major's board meets again, they will compete like everyone else.

Thanks pcola, that was what I was trying to get across. That is the leadership that I have seen from the guys who became pilots just to get to the top, versus the guys who became pilots, dedicated their careers to making lives/ops better and then got promoted because of it.

Ugh. I never said anything about being a nav. I also was careful not to say ALL pilots with few flight hours were shitty leaders. Nor did I say a ton of hours makes a good Commander. I preempted the Shirt by sending out an article on Robin Olds (Pictures included of course). He has come up to me several times and he can't stop looking at the beast above my upper lip. Hasn't mentioned it yet. Winning.

The problem is that a large majority of Commander's are not actually pilots. Yeah, they have pilot wings, but they have less hours and experience than 90% of the rest of the Squadrons and only flew when they "had to". They checked the boxes, planned the Christmas party and went to all their schools in residence while the rest of their Squadron bros were fighting the war. 20+ years later they are an IP, with 1500 hours and a Group/Wing Commander who never really liked flying in the first place, but loved being attached to their Commander's piss hole.

I actually learned that apparently "you need talent for TIB. Attitude isn't everything." All in all, I like Jenna Marbles better.

So..... it looks like I won't be able to sell my home and instead will end up renting it for enough to cover my mortgage and the management fees plus a little extra left over. This is a VA loan (refinanced through NBoKC). Have any of you had success in getting another mortgage for a second home in another city (Around a 750ish credit score)? Any advice? Thanks guys.

Yeah, they did the OUP, OEF, then back to OUP. Then back to OEF for just a quick 77 day which ended up being extended to almost a 180 because they didn't have a pilot to fill the next line. Not sure on all the math, but I know the base was pretty proud of their almost 1:1 deploy/dwell ratio but what the numbers didn't show were all the guys on staff who hadn't deployed for the year, but were still being counted in the numbers. No complaints from me, but I am not the one picking up the burden like these guys are.

Talking to some of my buddies flying tankers who have been gone over 300 days this year and almost 300 days the year before, they feel underpaid.

So what is the lawsuit count now I wonder for lowlifes who were "emotionally traumatized" by seeing this on the news?
