  1. Vn 38 Drop (secondhand info cause I wasn't there so take it FWIW) F-16 F-15C MC-12x2 Buff KC-135
  2. I can't imagine how awesome and/or scary going through UPT would have been like post-Vietnam with all those crusty combat veterans used to getting SAMs shot at them and battling MiGs.

  4. Because you don't judge a team by just their losses, that makes no sense. By that logic if Houston would have won then they should have been in the NC because they wouldn't have lost. The reason they wouldn't even be considered....they have no quality wins. If you compare strength of schedule (OSU 10 Bama 38), wins vs. the top 25 (OSU 5 Bama 2), or even wins just against teams with WINNING RECORDS (OSU 7 Bama 3) the comparison is muuuuch different. You have to look at a teams ENTIRE body of work, not just who has the "better loss."
  5. You can't argue just who has the better loss, you have to look at a teams total body of work. If you do that it's OSU. Exhibit A. http://static.ow.ly/docs/The%20Case%20For%20The%20Cowboys_qv9.pdf
  6. It's a little hazy but I'll give it a shot. Also, sad day because up until now I was sitting on post #69... T-1 KC-135 Fairchild KC-135 SJ KC-135 OK ANG KC-10 NJ ANG T-6 FAIP (first choice) C-17 Dover C-17 Charleston E-8 C-17 McChord I think a C-5 also I know I missed some so hopefully someone can fill in the rest T-38 15c 38 FAIP MC-12 (no follow on listed) C-17 McGuire C-17 McChord RC-135 F-16 ANG
  7. The one from Vance didn't have a follow on, on the screen anyway, although I'm not sure if that means it's a more permanent assignment. I had heard there was talk about giving those to the Army in the near future anyway.
  8. VN actually had a pretty good toner drop but it was far too difficult to remember all of them after drinking all afternoon.
  9. VN 12-01 -38s F-16x2 A-10 T-6 FAIP Buff U-28 Edit: Last one was an MC-12
  10. I'm glad we've started being a little less stingy with these things lately. They're certainly not something to throw around but early on in OEF/OIF there were a lot of awesome dudes doing awesome things and they didn't get the MOH when maybe they should have although certainly they didn't care whether or not they got it, tribute to how awesome those dudes are. Everyone who's been awarded it recently has fully deserved it.
  11. Coors Light. Not just cold...super cold...
  12. I tried searching and I couldn't find anything on it but I was just curious if Type 1 or 2 diabetes is disqualifying for flying status in the AF. Thanks
  13. Also a UT pitcher went 11 innings in that game without giving up a hit.
  14. "Into Thin Air" by Jon Krakauer. Absolutely amazing what those guys went through, especially Beck Weathers.
  15. I'm looking into getting a Yamaha FZ6 or FZ6R. From what I've heard they're both excellent bikes. The only real difference from what I understand is the FZ6 only has a half fairing and its a little bit taller. Either one of those might be a good choice.
  16. I'm looking to get a streetbike in the next month or so with my LT loan. I've never actually ridden one but they look like fun and I'd like to have one. Any advice on where to start? Obviously I'm not going to be retarded and I'm planning on taking a rider class soon so I don't get myself killed.
  17. Thanks for the info guys. My bad about the uniform thing, I was tired as hell and not thinking straight.
  18. What about for the first salute? I'm assuming that has to be in uniform. I commission next May and I have a friend getting out of the Marines in April and was planning on asking him. And what's with the silver dollar for the first salute?
  19. I've been to the McGuire's in Destin over spring break and it was definitely great. They had an Irish fold band that was pretty good. Haven't been to the P-Cola one though.
  20. Squadron Commander sucks, especially first rotation, but its an outstanding way to get noticed and if you do a good job then it speaks volumes. If you're confident you can do a good job its a good one to request. Safety Officer sucks, I was Safety Officer and you have to stay that way the entire encampment...you're pretty much the flight mom.
  21. I actually almost got in a fight with a kid last year at an Oklahoma State football game. He didn't remove his hat during the anthem so I respectfully asked him to and he got pissed off at me and threatened me. I had my friend there to back me up so it didn't get past threats but I was mad. At OK State games the announcer says please rise and remove your hats and veterans please salute during the National Anthem. I was confused as to why he said veterans salute until I read this post but it makes sense now.
  22. If something out of your control happens...i.e. broken ankle or such by chance then they should let you come back. If you did something stupid and got hurt because of it that's a different story though. A buddy of mine broke his leg at Marine OCS after someone hit him off some stairs and he's going back next summer. It is true that you are a Marine first, pilot second. They say in the Air Force that you're an officer first and pilot second but the Marines stay true to that far better than the Air Force.
  23. According to AFROTCI 36-2011 and F in any class results in 1 conditional. More than 1 F in a given term is only 1 conditional. With your first conditional no suspension is required however if it is for something severe the the Det Commander can suspend the scholarship but that would be used if it was for something more serious than an F. You should be good. I feel you on the grades, I had the worst grades I've had in college in my FTP year. I just did a terrible job on managing my time. I barely avoided getting a conditional. Don't worry about it though, just try to prevent it from happening again cause a second conditional is an automatic scholarship suspension.
  24. They let my friend's family do that when he went back on leave before he was deployed for Iraq. They even let his girlfriend go past the security checkpoint with him. I thought that was pretty cool.
