  1. Can somebody dumb this down for a non airline but possibly airline dude in the future? (I don't understand the dragging feet during negotiations, it sounds like bad practice).

Company tries to fuck you in the ass. This petition is an attempt to force them to use lube. That's about as caveman as I can make it for a fighter pilot.

The Dragging of the feet is by the company, not the pilots. So you are correect, it's not a good practice for the pilots but a great one for the company.

  2. Copy all bro. We already did the sig SQ buy; I'm shamelessly promoting a SQ Glock buy for the next one because I'm in the market for a new Glock!

Tac, Glock already offers a damn good mil/LEO discount. See below.

    Thank you

You can also get almost all of the Glocks for $399 (fixed sights...up to $460 with night sights) with their mil discount. There is no min number of purcheses to get the discount either. Go to the glock website, click on military, then find a dealer. Enter your zip and click on LE dealer. That will get you the LE dealer nearest you as not all dealers can offer the mil/LEO discount. Or you can order direct from Glock...wait time is ridiculous right now.

I found this website on another forum. It has the pricing for Glocks/Sig/S&W.

  3. Squadron Buy. Actually, trying to organize a buy for a whole community, about 400 folks. Top choices are a good 1911 model, like Springfield, etc, but I've also tried just going back to Sig because I love them, and they have a good selection. If anyone has a contact or is a vendor that can offer a discount (we'd be looking at ~100 weapons minimum), please PM me.

Looking for pistols and rifles, with the option to tag a unit symbol on the weapon.

You can verbally kick me in the junk if you've already seen this.

SIG mil discount. They also do a "squadron buy" type program.

  4. and also the Pilot/Controller Glossary.

when ATC calls out traffic to you, and you see the traffic, the proper response is "Traffic in sight". The word "Visual" does not appear in the PCG.

Hmmm...I could have sworn I saw the phase, "I've got him on the fish finder," in there somewhere!

  5. The instructor rogered up (they are the individuals with radios controls for the vast majority of each sortie) that in fact it was important that we remain brief on the comm freqs because when you get downrange, freqs are so clogged up that you have to be smart with what you transmit.

Ok, I have to ask...what the fuck does "rogered up" mean? It's like the term "you tracking?" who the fuck uses this shit? These two terms are way more annoying than any stupid shit I hear on the radio.

  6. 1997: Flying a PAR into Misawa after USS Boat was "not able to take us onboard"... threw the final controller freq in the UHF and keyed the mic. My pilot almost had a fit when what little bit of a "George" we had (yaw damp) decoupled, our dual pitch and yaw channels disconnected, and the rudder just started shifting on its own. Being the young stupid COTAC I was...I keyed the mic again, and we repeated the fishtail/disconnect episode (and subsequent loss of lift). I purchased 'Franz' a beer (or four) for that mistake later at the bar. 'Franz' had some great hands [sTS] getting us out of that mess and back on G/S and A/S. He was also a great stick [sTSx2] behind the boat day or night. Hands and experience, both are required. Terrible hands behind the boat gets you fired/sent home (and in some historical cases killed). Our last line period on USS "conventional shitcan" boat, a legacy F-14"A" (read: old smoky engines) pilot won Top Hook. The entire AirWing was in much respect mode toward that dude, because that is one beast to bring aboard with a piece of string and some Hasbro Lite-Brite things on the front canopy trying to represent a 1970's HUD. Hands and experience.

Ummm....what? Something about a PAR and a F-14 driver getting mad props.

  7. Man, you guys are a bunch of ate up mother fuckers! T-6 assignments for all of you! About the only time I get pissed at comm, is if we're in a stack, about to employ, and extraneous comm is hindering our ability to drop. Other than that, you can say whatever the fuck you want.

  8. Well, everyone needs to be more specific then.

If that's your argument, then the answer to his question should have been yes. Or you could just be less of an asshole.

Edit: I see you edited your post...

Oh, and they are bumming because the airlines have not returned their calls.

    That sucks.

So are you saying AGR slots grow on trees and everyone can get one? In every airframe?

No. Are you saying that no one can get the bonus on any airframe? Or that no one is getting hired at any airline?

  9. *sigh* Can't wait to see what caused this.

Why wait? I'll put my money on a higher than normal rate of descent upon landing. Boom, safety report done...lets go to the bar.

Edit: Even says it in the article, which we know anything put on the Internet has to be true.

  10. Over the course of their investigation, detectives determined Triplett had actually hired a man through Craigslist to beat her in exchange for sex. While the motive remains unclear, authorities have speculated she organized the entire affair in an attempt to save a troubled relationship.

So let me get this straight...women aren't always telling the truth when they claim they were sexually assaulted?

    Bitches be crazy!

  11. So I want to order direct from Glock but their paperwork requires a copy of a military ID. I'm fairly certain that this is NOT one of the exceptions to the rule, that we can't make copies of our ID. Has anyone dealt with this? Just want to make sure before I talk with Glock directly about this.

Edit: did a search and this was already discussed.

Well that can be said about most of my Saturday night activities in college...

    Or my last weekend...

  12. What CYA are you accomplishing? You can create a bill of sale on your own and CYA with 69% less asspain.

One of them was just worried about selling to someone who isn't legally allowed to own a gun, I guess. I think it's so they will sleep better at night, to be honest. I don't worry about it because I don't sell my guns...just buy more!

And it just got a whole lot of gay up in here! Must talk guns...Considering picking up my first Glock soon. Have never been a fan, but I do like the looks of the compact gen4. Thinking of the 32, have wanted a .357 sig for a while.

  13. Not sure if sarcasm detector inop or you just like wasting time and money.

I know many people who have done this. It's just a way to CYA and you charge the buyer the 20 bucks for the transfer.

  14. Not AD anymore can I still get the Mil/LE discount?

Depends on your status. There is a breakdown on the Glock site on who is eligible. If you're retired then yes. Not sure about if you got out and are no longer on IRR.

You could probably sell it online for what you paid, maybe more. Then go buy on at the mil price, if eligible.

  15. Just so that I know, what are these weapons going for (when you can find them in stock) these days (not back in the day before the country went crazy)? Of course factor in shipping, FFL fees and tax.

FFLs are generally easy to find and you should be able to get a transfer for <25-30 bucks. If you check out the link I posted above, you can see the MIL/LEO discounted prices. I'm not sure which Glock you picked up but you can get a Glock 23 Gen 4 (.40 S&W) for $399. Go to Glocks website and in the upper right hang quarter there is a find dealer by zip code container. Once that pops up, click on the LE dealers tap to find a place close to you. Not all Glock dealers can offer the MIL/LEO discount.

    Find a local FFL here.

  16. Holy shit, the AIR FORCE created a WEBSITE? And a REG? Clearly these are unprecedented actions that can only mean the immediate worldwide deployment of thousands of diversity kommissars that will start shutting down bases and shooting women and children. Maybe we need to start burying jets in the dirt to save them like the Iraqis did so that we can keep the diversity office from coming and destroying them all!

Talk about hyperbole! You said, no one cares about this, when clearly they do. I'm not arguing that it's destroying mission effectiveness.
