Fighter Pilot Poser...pt Iii
Is it just me or would it be smart to run a carfax and see where the car resides before I would send any money (not that I would buy a car, sight unseen)...

Boeing 747 splits in two on take off
That happened yesterday in Bogota. Folks are saying the #1 engine caught fire on departure and the jet crashed in a field. All 8 crew survived, but there were deaths on the ground on the ground. Bad year for Connie Kalitta on both the race team/family and business side. https://edition.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/americas...h.ap/index.html

Great lesser known flying movies...
"Red Flag, the ultimate game" is a cool 1970s movie if you like F-4s and F-5's mixing it up over the Nellis range.

B2 Crashes in Guam
Someone has balls. Not only taking the pic out the aft hatch of a tanker. But posting them on the net. If big blue wanted pictures to be released, I am sure he would have done it.

Refuel mishap
I had an F-14 try to take a basket during WWOIF 2. I do not know how is stayed on but it was something I do not ever want to see again. The jet did the whole dance, cut the power and fell out of the drogue, then proceeded to all but roll inverted. It was the only real world breakaway I have ever had with a Navy jet... He even called uncle and went back to the ship.

Guam is bad luck
Must have been real slow since the airshow ended on the 24th of Feb and this happened on the 8th of March. Even the Wright Flyer could have made it in better time.

Fuel Conservation
I do mean to call ya out but do you have to get on this board and bitch everytime we have a meeting at the base? AMC has a reason and a method for their madness.

What to do in Guam?
Ah yes, Jeff's Pirate Cove was the heat (even in 1989!) The G-spot will always be king but the Viking was a close second IMHO....

F150 commercial
Yes it is! They just removed them...Did you forget about the cutbacks to buy more Raptors and to save fuel?

Do Something Amazing
Wow that is classic. I thought at first it was a "fake" page with the wildcard added after the website until I went to the office and typed the normal link into my computer. Sure enough, it is the same one... I love it!!! P.S. "Boom" was actually making the contact on that video (he told me) :-)

St George or Kanab, UT?
I was stationed at Hill (way up North) and loved it. We used to head down to St Geroge for the local drag races on the weekends and it is a great place if you do not mind a small town becoming huge. If it was me I would head to Kanab, the scenery is beautiful and it is not becoming a big city...

Remote Controlled Airplane
If you decide to buy one at Nellis, I suggest you pay a visit to twice nice hobbies on Tropicana Rd. The owner (Denny) is an ex KC-135 dude and if you tell him you are military he will give you 40-50% off on the spot. He has a crap load of airplanes as well. I just bought an A-7 Cosair jet that has been out of production for 20 years and he had it...

Remote Controlled Airplane
I have been flying R/C airplanes for over 20 years, and can tell you that if you have never flown than yes it is to much airplane. I had that particular P-51 and it is very scale like. That being said Horizon Hobby has a gas powered trainer P-51 for $119 that I taught someone to fly and he was on his own in less that 5 flights... It looks easy, but I can tell you that I love nothing more than handing my transmitter to one of our pilots that says "if I can fly the real thing than this "toy" is easy", just to watch them get it inverted and I have to save it. Granted I would never hand him my $$$ Tubine powered F-16, but anthing else is a riot. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. Just my .02 Link to the P-51 https://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Defau...?ProdID=HAN2845 Some of my current airforce:

Oshkosh, b'gosh!
What is going on? I hear everything goes in 3's, but to this point we have 5 aircraft and 4 lives lost in 24 hours? Today Jim Leroy passed on while performing at dayton. He will be missed...

Oshkosh, b'gosh!
Today was a bad day for 2 ships . The Mustangs mentioned above and the choppers in Phoenix. Jim Cox from the Channel 3 chopper was a friend of mine from the days I was stationed at Luke. He loved flying helicopters... We both used to hang out at the drag races in our off time. RIP buddy...
