  1. Gypsy, Here is some non-legal advise. There is nothing anyone can do on this forum to help your legal issue. Since you are ratining legal counsel, I recommend you stop posting about your case here or in social media. More importantly, follow the legal advise received by your retained counsel. Airwinger.
  2. I have a few questions for anyone that has been issued this jacket for the AOR. 1. Was it a huge improvement over the standard issue one regarding survivality? 2. Was it comfortable to wear in the cockpit (pointy nose types)? 3. Did you get the pants as well? Thanks.
  3. The only thing I'm not cool with is the ability for a jury decision to be reversed by a commander when there is an appeals process. To me thats a slap in the face to the court system. As to the evidence, I'm not in the jury so my opinion regarding that is irrelevant.
  4. This applies whether falsley or not. The military stacks the odds in the services favor.
  5. It's not an officer vs enlisted comment. It's a lack of equal application of military "justice".
  6. Being that he was convicted but the Commander used his authority to reverse the conviction sounds pretty untouchable to me. If this was the average enlisted troop instead of a "Bro" fighter pilot, former IG, would the General have made the same decision?

  8. Killers, I'm looking for some experiences on the transition from a fighter to a helo. Please reply or PM me if you or someone you know has done this before. Thanks Airwinger
  9. Has anyone in the reserves used this before?
  10. http://www.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123175214 Air Force officials announce candidate bases for joint strike fighter Posted 10/29/2009 Updated 10/29/2009 Email story Print story 10/29/2009 - WASHINGTON (AFNS) -- Air Force officials here announced the list of candidate locations Oct. 29 for basing the F-35 Lightning II joint strike fighter. The list of candidate bases was approved by the secretary and chief of staff of the Air Force and identifies the first group of bases to be considered for joint strike fighter basing decisions. The selection of these bases signifies the determination of Air Force officials that these locations have the greatest potential to accommodate the F-35 training or operational mission. Eleven bases have been selected as candidate bases and include for training: Boise Air Terminal Air Guard Station, Idaho; Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.; Holloman AFB N.M.; Luke AFB, Ariz.; and Tucson International Airport Air Guard Station, Ariz. The six bases selected as candidate bases for operations are: Burlington International Airport Guard Station, Vt.; Hill AFB, Utah; Jacksonville International Airport Air Guard Station, Fla.; Mountain Home AFB, Idaho; Shaw AFB, S.C.; and McEntire Air Guard Base, S.C. Air Force officials will evaluate existing F-22 Raptor force structure at Holloman AFB as it considers F-35 basing. "The selection of this candidate list is the result of a deliberate, repeatable, standardized and transparent process," said Kathleen Ferguson, Air Force deputy assistant secretary for installations. "We are excited about the future of the joint strike fighter and look forward to working with each of the communities surrounding these bases to ensure all of their concerns are addressed." The list of candidate bases were selected using previously announced basing criteria such as airspace, flight training ranges, weather, support facilities, runways, taxi ramps and environmental concerns, and military judgment factors such as combatant commander requirements, aircraft retirements and delivery schedules, aircraft maintenance and logistics support and integration with the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve. Now that the list of candidate bases has been released, the formal environmental impact analysis process and site assessments will begin, allowing communities around each candidate base to participate and provide input into the environmental impact analysis. Based on the results of these efforts, officials expect to announce the JSF preferred locations in late spring of 2010. Once the formal environmental impact statements are complete, Air Force officials will issue the Records of Decision and announce the final basing decisions. This is anticipated in early 2011.
  11. If he does get it back, it will be a textbook Chavez faked coup. He did this a few years ago. He staged a coup and was put back in power a few days later. From there, he modified the constitution and you now see the results. A defacto dictator.
  12. With the threat of a Chavez invasion (backed by Nicaragua and Cuba) if the deposed Honduras president isn't reinstated, what do you fellas think we will do. So far President Obama denounced the "coup". From what I have been reading, the actions by their congress and supreme court were a result of Zelaya's attempted violation of their constitution as well as his contempt of the supreme court by pushing a referendum to extend his presidency just like Chavez did in Venezuela. Nicaragua shares a border with Honduras and they are not too far from Venezuela's Flankers. Discuss.
  13. No, AZ doesn't require registration. This is for other than class 3 weapons.
  14. I have a USPc 40. If you want carry concealed take a look at a P2000SK. If I had to do it again that would be my number one choice. I recommend you go to a range that rents all the guns you are looking at and try them out. Ergonomics wise, the USPc and P2000 are similar. However, a HK and Glock grip are quite different.
  15. Guard of course. Take the slot and don't look back.
  16. M2 What brand and where did you get that AK?
  17. For a Milspec AR with a 14.5 barrel you can't beat a Noveske.
  18. Most G-Locks happen within the first 5 seconds.
  19. Sledy, are you dudes being hit by this too...wtf!
  20. I did the enlisted Marine to guard thing. All I can say is call the units that you are interested in and ask them directly. As far as Caveman's situation and the Marines frowning upon a transfer....you gotta pay to play! If I was in your shoes, I would try to increase my chances of selection by doing the things you mentioned as well as getting the flight physical out of the way (specially since you didn't qualify for naval aviation). As far as the GPA, the guard works in mysterious ways. Go talk to them and if they like you they will get you in the unit.
  21. So let's say I PCS, but for reasons beyond my control (medical emergency) I have to PCS again to a different training location after two months. My unit is saying that I only rate one PCS and may owe money back. What about DLA?
  22. Melvile Hall in Dominica is one of the most dangerous in the Caribbean. Not sure why they have St Marteen on the list...it was a piece of cake.
