C-145A Combat Coyote/6 SOS Info
Check the 2014/2015 flying hours to see if it's still around. The FTU is at duke field via the 19th SOS till oct then should fall under AFSOWC. Anywho I would not expect to fly it for long if you got the opportunity to do so.

A Toast in Remembrance of the Fallen...
https://www.doolittleraider.com/ There's 5 B-25 staging out of KDTS this week. I got to see 4 of them take off from my house then as I was getting ready to take off about an hour later watch all 4 land.

Blues on Monday
I do love that it took someone with balls enought to ask the question and the said missileer will never buy a drink in front of me if I knew who he/she was.

Ex-Army guy going to UPT
This does suck. My unit has hired a couple Army fixed wing dudes and now AFRC is telling us that their fixed wing qual doesn't count. They have over 1500 hours in fixed wing planes. I remember a fixed wing Army dude going through C-130 school with me at the Rock that didn't have this problem, but that was about 9 years ago. Guess we are trying to cull the herd now, but in 2-3 years will be begging to get pilots. I love the circle of life.

The Mother of all CGOCs
I never pieced it together, but when I had a Eglin account as a CGO my inbox was always fragged with CGO crap. I made the move to Hurbie 4 years ago and haven't seen any of it. Maybe AFSOC does have have a good side.

When is a Masters degree needed for a Guard Officer?
My reserve wing has been briefed for the past several years that if you want to make O-5 you must have PME done. If you want more than O-5 you'll need the masters of basket weaving and probably joint/staff/whatever else the flavor of the month is.

Lack of Flight Discipline
So today was another down day, at least at KHRT for more training that had already been given 6-9X in the last 2 months of family/safety/wingman/resiliency days. My lack of "Flight Discipline" is due to not getting to actually fly. Days that I don't have to come into work rule, but days that there is no flying and I have to spend the majority of my day listening to briefings that I've already heard that month and can't get ahead of queep are better spent sick.

What's wrong with the Air Force?
The opinion from some at HRT is that we want to make it so miserable here that Cannon will feel like a good deal.

U-28/PC-12/NSA
Noted, but the pilots at FedEX said the same thing till they checked with the hiring department. Next we are in the process of checking with SWA who are opening up soon.

I think it's always a good idea to keep your career options open. What happens when you get RIF'd and got nothing but a multi-engine commercial and 2,000 single engine hours to show for your AF career? That being said we have good news that at least when FedEx recently opened their window we asked them the question and were assured that PC-12/U-28 time was good via FedEx.

MC-12 Liberty info
Reservist pilots and CSO's are involved in the U-28 via the 5th SOS. See the jobs section on this site. https://www.guardreservejobs.com/viewprofile.php?sel=profile&id_vac=348 There is currently no reserve structure at Cannon except for nonflying IMA's. Cannon is on the list for the 2nd SOS (pred's) to move to, but many have threatened to quit if that happens. Cheers'

I went on a trip with him, he was kinda weird, loved singing karaoke, and he didn't drink.

Good deals---only for shoes?
If it helps being a "fighter pilot" doesn't impress me either. It will be interisting to see after the economy turns around and people have options open if all this BS sticks around. I'll bet it will get better as will your options outside the AF. CP

Leadership at the 'Deid
As an almost free lance reservist I refuse to got to bases that have become worse than home base. I don't mind leaving the family for a couple months, but I'm not going to put up with more mil BS deployed than at home.. Drinking 3 beers a day isn't worth the Died, I honestly don't mind the liver recoup and it justifies my excesses. Died mispelled on pourpose as were all other mispels.

AF Hornets
I happen to work with many LM employees and other contract/government grabbing people and have seen LM gouge their way into anything they can. I have no doubt if LM is tasked to build more Falcons they will get every $ out of the lines they can get. Not a fighter dude, but I'm for diversify the fleet and don't believe stealth is called for in every instance, 16's 18's whatever, a Zeppelin could do much of the bomb dropping they've been doing for the past couple years.
