  1. So...are these guys going to be doing HALO jumps out the rear exit or something? [ 11. December 2005, 12:18: Message edited by: wannaairlift ]
  2. OK so as much as I know about planes and aviation, I wasn't so sure about the answer to this one (given that I haven't flown yet). Anywho, I've heard that the rudder isn't used so much on larger jets, as opposed to props-can anyone clarify this, and why this is? Thanks.

    A Patriot

Good stuff. Here's to those who gave their life in defense of this great nation.
  4. Uh yeah...I've been anywhere from 5 before the server change a few months ago (when everything got reset), down to 1 after the change (I was kinda wtf after that one), and increased up to 2 then 3 since. It's not really anything special...most of the mods will have 5 since they know their sh!t, but other than that it could just be based on someone having a vendetta against you or something. Nothing major.
  5. But wait, the most important question hasn't been asked....was he wearing a reflective belt?
  6. So I started to reach out toward her tits like this...
  7. We had a B-1 flyover here at FSU on Saturday before the game vs Wake Forest. FSU's president got to take a ride the day before. The crew was apparently all FSU grads based out of Dyess. [ 11. October 2005, 00:04: Message edited by: wannaairlift ]
  8. 53's are at Mildenhall and Hurlburt. The NY Guard -60 unit is on Long Island.
  9. Well hold on. Some units themselves have requirements, so you best check with them. A common radius I've seen is 150 miles. However, I'd gather to say that the majority of units don't have requirements as long as you make drill.
  10. I'm sure the pilot had a big brown spot on the back of his flightsuit after that one.
  11. Hmm...the next model of the F-22 gonna have that too? /sarcasm
  12. http://www.pacom.mil/special/0412asia/factsheet2.html Some of the Kadena helos went to assist in the tsunami relief. Plus there are various exercises the helo squadrons attend...
  13. What, no Yugos? Losers.
  14. Well if I was in the ANG and could better understand your sentiments...I think I'd be saying, "A-FREAKIN-MEN!!"
  15. I think he was looking along the lines of "is it possible to drive a desk as a civilian job while being a reserve pilot." [ 03. July 2005, 21:34: Message edited by: wannaairlift ]

    EC-130

Just fwiw, there is also a HC-130 (rescue) squadron based at D-M AFB if he wants to try for that as well...
  19. I finished "Generation Kill" about a month ago, still haven't picked up anything else military related though..
  20. Well now I say why there's no respect, I mean I did grow up a diehard Gator fan and now I'm going to FSU.
  21. Hey I live down here, so I can enjoy said tanned cooch. But as someone heading to FSU next year (not really by choice, however), I had to say something...
  22. Well I'd suggest you check out the Space and Missile forum on airforceots.com. They have some good topics answering your questions. Other than that though, I've read that Minot, despite being in the middle of nowhere, itself is a very nice base.
