  1. Seriously. They kill the tune and add a bunch of extra notes just to accentuate the syllable. Sounds like crap.
  2. http://www.wesh.com/video/10606743/index.html Video...guy is an idiot though.
  3. Yep. Not to mention that keeping the peace on the ground is more a grunt thing than an iron-to-target thing. [ 21. December 2006, 00:45: Message edited by: PapaJu ]
  4. Thanks for the responses! Anyway, reason I was asking was that I'm currently looking into internships for this summer. Among the places I'm considering are the several foreign consulates located here in Miami (as I'm an international affairs major). Obviously, I want to work somewhere 'friendly,' but even with that in mind, how would that affect security clearances in the future (not only for the military, but as I plan to work for the gov't as a civilian)?
  5. Is there a single agency that handles this for the whole US government? I had a question about security clearances (not so much AF at this point, more working for the government) and was wondering if anyone here knew someone I could call about it. Please PM me. Thanks. P.S. Derka derka. (just before anyone else says it) [ 23. November 2006, 13:23: Message edited by: PapaJu ]
  6. Have you checked with the Intel forum on airforceots.com?
  7. Err, why is there a Cadet 2nd class in that video?
  8. I remember reading here that they were also going to create an AD unit to associate with the 302d AW at Peterson...was that true too?
  9. I think there's been too much talk of CAP on here. Might be violating their OPSEC.
  10. "So what was wrong...what was I supposed to do?" "Just go ahead and fly your profile." "Yes sir." :D
  11. The new prop-aircraft supposedly coming online for the Coast Guard in early 2007 according to the Deepwater program is the HC-235. Looks like a pretty sweet ride with FLIR, MMR, and a Rockwell Collins Glass Avionics package. The Deepwater program is upgrading or retiring all of their aviation assets and most of their cutters. Ever since 9/11, the Coast Guard has received more funding than in past years. FYI
  12. Yeah read this recently, might've been here even. Pretty sure it was debunked.
  13. Well knowing the media, they'll probably just connect it to the Navy Tailhook thing from the early 90s instead.
  14. Might be the standard position for it, a la the EA-6 Prowler.
  15. What?! Some do, not most. Almost every AF base has Security Forces...though my brother is due to PCS soon and according to him the only options he had for a 2Lt were Korea, Saudi, or a 1 year to Iraq.
  16. I've read that sucks. Guess it's alright if you don't get sent to Minot or Malmstrom (as most of them do).
  17. What about behind enemy lines? Talk about plausibility... hey but at least we have Stargate!
  18. Did you try those websites' sports pages (i.e. fox sports, CNNSI, sportsline)? No "Page 2" like on ESPN, but it's something...
  19. Try this: http://www.dod.mil/militarypay/pay/calc/index.html
