  1. I worked for him when he was the OG at Salem in '05. He was everything that's wrong with USAF and not a tear was shed when his career was terminated.

  3. The guys you listed are pilots, why would I ask them? With the first VSP I saw good pilots get out, I saw Navs stay in and assume leadership position because all of a sudden the USAF had a pilot shortage and what were they going to do anyways in the civilian sector? Nothing, hence why most 12Whatevers stay in.

You left out the not wanting to be a pilot anymore, three years into her UPT commitment, so she gets pregnant, goes unqualified due to the pregnancy, gets qualified again, maybe upgrades to AC/IP, gets pregnant again, goes unqualified, gets qualified again, gets pregnant again, the applies for VSP/PALACE CHASE... 2

  12. We just had a civilian Test Pilot from Edwards go through our Senior Officer Course. Anything can be outsourced.
  13. Most of the people I've seen fail the PT test were skinny guys that either couldn't run or couldn't do sit-ups. However a Sq/CC, who has the authority to give referral OPR/EPR's for PT test failures to subordinates, should be fired for failing their own PT test.

  15. E-3's and E-8's are some of the worst receivers to refuel. RC's usually are pretty spot on. A lot more have it than you think. We had A3T brief us here two years ago of the various PTX courses AMC is coming up with for previous tanker pilots/no receiver experience, tanker pilots/receiver experience, no-previous tanker experience.
  16. McConnell and Fairchild have same sized ramp space, with McConnell having double the -135 tails as Fairchild. The -135 isn't going away anytime soon, considering the first R-model was retired this week. McConnell will still be the biggest -135 Wing in the USAF IMHO.
  17. Altus for the FTU, Fairchild for the MOB #1.
  18. Altus just cancelled Blues Monday, however the same email said personnel at HQ AETC would wear Blues Monday through Thursday. Flight suits/ABU's on Friday.
