If you are a single seat dude with no crew experience and have the money, I'd recommend it. Even though an airline training program will be easier than IFF, the B-Course, FLUG, and IPUG, for me, it was nice having an idea about 121 ops (flows, call outs, profiles, etc) before I had to do it for real. The best thing was it allowed me to test whether or not I wanted to fly airliners for the next 35 years. I did Higher Power back in 2012 and I have zero regrets about it. I was asked about it in my US Airways interview by the way. My answer - I wanted to experience a 121-type program since I had no crew experience. Every case and person is different.

You'll pique the interest of the hiring boards if you don't bring your printed off flight records. I brought my big green folder and a 1 page summary and they asked no questions. By the way, on my summary page, I had my straight total and my total with the allowed .3/sortie added. Don't try to game it. You either have the min hours or not. There is less emphasis on hours for military guys.

I'm just too lazy to search through and confirm he asked the question. I believe it was him though. I like the fact that he comes and asks these questions on here. But I also question his motives and wonder if he is so out of touch that he just doesn't know relevant things to tell a group of his chosen ones.

I heard a rumor somewhere that the 157 who were non-continued a few years back won a law suit against the Air Force. Is that true? If so, does anyone know what law firm they used? I was separated with no involuntary sep pay (offered continuation) after being passed over after applying for VSP back in 2011. I'm out for blood now...
Thanks!
