To be fair, Georgy was a bit of a badass!- Info on flight boots
I have two sets of S2V Rocky's, one cold weather with the Gortex lining and the other being summer weights. I actually prefer the cold weather ones as they are a half size larger (Rocky's typically run small) and wides, whereas the summer weight ones (which are still heavy) chew into the back of my Achilles tendon. Based on recommendations of some Army buds, I've tried the "hot soak and wear" method of breaking them in which helped but still didn't completely resolve the problem. I do have a set of these Nike SFB Field 2 boots which are extremely comfortable and rugged, not sure if they're USAF approved for flight as that doesn't matter to me anymore... I also have a set of Belleville Coyote C320 Ultra Light Assault Boots which are also very light and comfy to wear but again, not sure if they are approved for flight. I also have a lot of Army aviation buds who love the Belleville C793s which are very similar but run smaller from my experience. I believe these which are on the Safe to Fly list are essentially the same boot...- Gun Talk
Or he could want to buy a SBR, which is a rifle with shorter than 16" barrel and will require an ATF Form 4... The brace does not turn a rifle into a pistol. That term is used when it is added to one. But I get your point!- U.S. Military Aircraft down in Med

It's complicated...😎 The ATF finally reviewed it about a month ago (around 160+ days) and said the serial number was incomplete. They also claimed I put the wrong model number down (I didn't). They also didn't like my reason for creating a SBR (to be fair, I was a bit of a smartass about it!). Any legal response should be accepted as there is no requirement codified in law as to the allowable reasons to build a SBR. Plus, the ATF really doesn't have a "say" in the matter. Unless the reason is an "illegal" one, it should be approved. It's just the ATF dragging their feet on approving applications... To be honest, I was tempted to put "to finally make this thing legal!" A guy on a local gun forum claims his son got a Form 1 approved which had “zombies” as the reason! I did mail a revised hardcopy form to Portland (before the latest injunction) and it arrived on 1 Nov, but I am not sure if I am going to continue with the process even if it is approved.- German Chicks in Dirndls and Beer (NSFW)

Well, the incident happened in 2008; so if the FAA was going to do something about it, they most likely would have done so by now... And nice use of the word 'contrition!'- Bye bye demo teams (A-10, F-15E, F-16)
You'd think, but there are people still driving in Texas with multiple DWIs! 🙄 My wife was on a jury where the accused had seven! 😡😡 I guess drive-thru liquor stores may be part of the problem! 🤠- The new airline thread
