  1. WTF?
  2. Already being discussed in the
  3. Editted title and first post to be a bit more specific. No further details at this time. Godspeed to all those aboard.
  4. It's not just her, look at who else we have running for sheriff here in Bexar County (San Antonio)... Susan For Sheriff Not one iota of law enforcement expereince, and being a personnelist in the USAF doesn't qualify her either! What's amusing is that she charges the current sheriff with "gross mismanagement and misconduct,” I think many would say the same about her tenure at AFPC! Plus, notice she also has a 'star' in her logo; albeit a lot more descrete than McBlinky's! She's already made a failed attempt at the county commissioner's job. She has no experience in that arena either. I guess she's just gonna keep running for offices until she wins one! If either gets one vote, whoever casts it needs to be donkey-punched ('cause you know it's gonna be a woman who does so!). Cheers! M2
  5. Watch it...
  6. Har har!
  7. Yeah, that 'SS' connectation doesn't seem to bother KISS... Gene Simmons' real name is Chaim Witz and he was born in Israel. Paul Stanley was born Stanley Eisen. Interestingly enough, since that 'SS' symbol is illegal in Germany, most of the band's album covers and merchandise have used a modified version of the logo instead, with the SS represented by two backwards Zs! Thanks Wikipedia!
  8. Rut-Roh! But CNN says a US official claims it's not true, which means it probably is... U.S. official: No evidence North Korean leader is dead The big question now is, if it is true then who are we going to take pictures of looking at stuff?!? Cheers! M2
  9. And the usual spin...
  10. Wow, big surprise!

Dammit, Brick, will you stop that shit?!? I saw those on Bud's and have been trying to resist but it may be futile. I too am a Walther fan and just may have to pick one of those up. Let us know how it looks once it arrives. I could be easily tempted, but right now I am waiting for some guy in Austin to get in touch with me concerning an XD-9C he has at a decent price ($375). Cheers! M2

Just a warning guys, from firsthand experience; keeping up to the 'tactical standard' after you retire can be tough! Here's a recent pic... But hey, at least I don't have to wear a fucking reflective belt! Cheers! M2
  13. That sucks, but truth be told I hate riding in groups. I've seen more accidents that way, so I prefer to either ride by myself or only one or two other riders at the most; and then only people I know who don't think that riding in formation means copying the way it was done on CHiPs! Those two guys were always a bit too close to each other, both on the bikes and off...

  15. Leave to the French to think this shit would be funny... But the bigger 'WTF' is all the 'nicely-endowed-but-shut-the-fuck-up-and-make-me-a-sandwich' women in the response videos... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBkpf0NOk6I More in a second...
  16. Ya gotta admit, it is an amusing read but no real foundation in reality. I guess they've never considered the influence retired four stars have on the active duty...
  17. WTF?!? Guest List for the First Lady’s Box
  18. Chesley G. Peterson of Eagle Squadron/4th Fighter Group fame has him beat, he was a squadron commander (71 Sqn) in the RAF at age 21 and later became the youngest full bird colonel in the USAAF as the 4th Fighter Group Commander at age 23... Maj Gen Peterson retired as the Chief of Staff for Intelligence for PACAF in 1970.
  19. Well, I was just about to shut this thread down when I saw the last two posts gave good reason to leave it going!

If you buy it in original condition it is OK, but if you make any modifications to it then you need to ensure it is 922r compliant. If it has already been modified, it should be 922 compliant. Cheers! M2

Remember if you take an original SKS and replace the stock, you then have to ensure that enough other parts are replaced with US made ones so it is 922r compliant. Lots of people don't, but if you go out "bore" (sic) hunting and run into a Federal law enforcement officer of any type, you could have issues because of the modification to the rifle. As for "chinese invasion insurance," hell they'll probably bring more Samozaryadnyj Karabin Simonova rifles with them as if I am not mistaken, they have produced more than any other country in the world!
  22. Interesting development... For those who don't know who Glenn Miller is, read here. Cheers! M2
  23. Having been on both sides of this equation, I can tell you it ain't easy being a landlord! I had to conduminiums that were rental properties for almost a decade. Even with a good property manager, it wasn't easy but in the end it was a good investment. I had a deliquent tenant that couldn't be evicted after failing to pay rent for several months because on the morning the local sheriff's department went by the property there was a light snowfall and state law prohibitted evictions while it was snowing. Not only did we not get the rent from him, there was damage to the condo that we had to fix out of pocket (his security deposit did not cover it). We also rented while stationed overseas, and did our absolute best to return the property to the condition it was in when we moved in. Our last landlords in Belgium were amazed at how much effort we put into to cleaning and repairing the house before leaving, they said they expected some wear and tear but we felt it was our responsibility to bring it back up to standards. Treat the property like it was your own. Wait, scratch that, treat it better than if it was yours!
