  1. Bahaha, I can't wait to look both those nerds up in the global. What a pair of tools.
  2. It looks even better with the squadron sticker (16 SOS) "someone" put on it today.
  3. Looks like I'll have to bring a permanent marker next time I go to the chow hall and make a few modifications to the signs.

    Baseops Wiki Page

Not sure if its my computer or not, but it seems like the page is "down". I get a white screen with nothing on it--all other flyingsquadron.com stuff will come up.
  5. Uhm, I don't think anyone in this thread is embarassed, especially considering that some of us have been over to the 73rd to teach the new guys CAS.
  6. Oh boy, I'm gonna have to dust off that recipe for humble pie. Especially when your standard for successful at both mission sets is "not lost any planes to just simple "new guy" or "inexperienced" issues". After a sortie in OEF, I usually sit down with the crew and start debrief to the tune of, "Well, we didn't lose any planes, so great work. That's all I got."
  7. Passing through in a week or so on the way to BAF--can't wait to F up some diamond d-bags.
  8. For us it's always been move out so the new guys can move right in and start flying missions. Looks like each squadron is different.
  9. I can't believe you're 29 and acting like this. Whoever said SIE from life hit the nail on the head.
  10. Bahaha, ok man... whatever you say.
  11. It's happening command wide, and directed by those in charge. Maybe not to you, but for the guys who don't have wings that'll fall off in a year (319th, 318th, 524th?, and 73rd), they're all staring at the "SOF cannot be mass produced" truth in amazement. I mean, come on, taking a squadron of airdrop guys and turning them into gunship dudes in a few months?! If that doesn't violate a SOF truth, I don't know what does. When in rome...
  12. My mistake, I thought it was TechnoVikings cannot be mass produced. Learn something new everyday.
  13. The big blue chiefs at BAF already hate it that they don't have any control over our guys--bragging about it isn't going to help our cause. Besides, thanks to some of the camp commandants and career driven shirts, "SOF compound" guys still have to put up with crap.
  14. Well aren't you at the top of the social pyramid.

It's not as simple as one might think.

2.99? Eh, I'll calculate it myself which gives me a good excuse to ignore an annoying crew member.
  17. If I could only be a molecule of Elizabeth Taylor perfume in her computer room when she read that dude's reply. She sucks.
  18. Davies is correct about the agencies. SBS w/ 1 Para. Good SBS and Para books = John Parker's SBS: The Inside Story of the Special Boat Service and Patrick Bishop's 3 PARA: Afghanistan 2006.
  19. sorry dude, but it was a 319th guy who said it during a phone call back to his wife from the old morale hooch.
  20. Yeah, because the F-16 cockpit (sts) is so much tighter (sts) than an AH-64 or two 160th dudes (sts) in an AH-6 w/ body armor; your argument makes no sense.
  21. Keep wearing your one piece flightsuit and those of us who care about function rather than how cool we look will wear the 2 piece ACUs. Two piece flight suits rule.
  22. More hijack: I think my Traffic Violation Ticket for not wearing a reflective belt at night is still in my wallet. At least our compound is still safe from the shoes.. just the occasional overzealous shirt who is usually put in his/her place after a month or so.

  24. No kidding; Pave dudes are in control now with a sprinkling of Talon guys here and there. Gunships might be at the top in several years but it aint now.
  25. A deployed CGOC?? Are you f'ing kidding me?!?
