There were 3 AD. The two T-6 FAIPs were husband/wife -38 studs.

The quantity over quality mantra is the name of the game at UPT right now. IFS was changed to IFT because "screening" is too harsh. I spoke with an IFT IP a few days ago and he said the washout rate in IFS was around 10%, and now it's around 3%. T-6 IPs are kicking studs to multiple CRs before they get washed out. From what I understand unless they quit everyone returns from their first CR. Guys have been non-vol'd to -38s to fill the increased student load.

Ya, and what are they going to do with late Captains that only have MC-12 and T-38 IP time when they get done with the UPT gig? Not a rhetorical question. Can they (if they even want to by then) go to IFF or should they expect ISR/Heavy/RPAs?

Same thing in 38s, SIMs are keeping studs behind as well.

All the MC-12 guys from 38s had to go somewhere. Lots of MC-12/heavy guys teaching -38 studs these days.

9 to END and an additional 3 to SPS Not true. One flight in particular has had that particular student load (sts) or very close to it 4 classes in a row now. Sending 9 guys to a class or two is doable, but when all the other class sizes have been increased to 6-7 studs then it becomes mathematically impossible to keep them on timeline.

I know a couple of C model guys that are TFI to guard units. The word I got from one of the dudes is that the TFI gig may become more commonplace. Whether that's accurate or not idk.

Good experiences with online masters programs?
Oklahoma State has some good online programs. They have a good MBA program and a few engineering degrees. Some require GMAT/GRE and some don't.

Ya, T-1 bros find out weeks before the drop what aircraft will be dropping across the UPT bases. If a dude is number last of 20 in his class and hasn't mentally prepared for the possibility of getting one of the RPAs in his drop then that's on him. Oh btw, -38 bros don't know jack about the aircraft that are dropping until they see it pop up on the screen when it's their turn. I thought the OG standing up before the drop and saying that two studs were getting RPAs with a signed guarantee of a manned follow on was a good way to handle it. The icing on the cake was encouraging the crowd to cheer extra loud for them when they got their drop and then buy them a drink after. With two weeks notice and the speech from the OG before the drop idk how else you think it could have been handled better. Maybe there should be a box of tissues on stage and we should have their mom's on standby to coddle them. There's no crying in baseball!
