  1. Just be careful where you drink your water during Ramadan.
  2. TCAS is 1 installed - 1 required in the sandy location where I fly.
  3. Funny, cause the Brit trailer literally has an antenna on every single window. Why does CE have to be such a killjoy? Oh, and my trailer almost burned down today.

If fees are going to be added regardless of where you find your realtor, what difference does it make?

Same here. They wanted 45 days to close and I said no thanks. Closed with a local bank in a week.

I used the USAA Find-a-Realtor thing and liked the realtor they set up for me. USAA gave me $1,000 for closing using that realtor.
  7. Can one still use his post-9/11 GI bill if one has already signed the paperwork to transfer bennies to the kids?
  8. Did he go off the left edge of the runway to avoid hitting his lead?. What are the options an F-16 pilot has when leaving the runway? Is it normal to eject or stick with it?
  9. Will this work on MacOS X? Can't find any reference on the community forum.
  10. I think technically it happened when you pinned on Major. :)
  11. Proudly wore my Friday shirt today. It felt...liberating.
  12. I personally know two 11Ms that were non-continued. They have separation papers in hand. So pilots weren't immune.
  13. Wikipedia defines careerism thusly: Sounds about right to me
  14. The process is confusing. I've been released by the MAF but only to rated flying positions. I'm hoping the DT vectors me to the RAS this fall after my board. Trying to determine what a RAS can do if he can only go to flying jobs.
  15. Any updated info on C-12 RAS locations? Anyone doing it right now? AMS doesn't list aircraft pairings with 16F AFSC positions.
  16. This guy was starring in Middle Eastern porn? Amazing we didn't find him sooner...
  17. Are you sure this is true? I returned from a long tour in 2009 but my short tour return date stayed 2003.
  18. McConnell got credit for a lot of the ORI this year based on the real-world deployment of tankers and people to Moron a couple months ago. Have to exercise ATSO and something else, but no flyaway required.
  19. I asked about VSP (and by association the RIF) in a staff meeting on or about the day of the release of the PSDM and the CC hadn't heard of it yet. Since then he's sent out a few official fwds to those of us in the vulnerable year groups. I don't think I got an AFPC email about the RIF. I did get one this week (or rather, my CC forwarded it to me) saying I'm "highly vulnerable" for a non-vol 365 though.
  20. Q2 is a qualified outcome with downgrades in a non-critical area, so I don't understand what the problem is.
  21. OU also offers masters degrees in international relations and human relations. http://www.goou.ou.edu/degree_programs/degrees_locations.html I completed the M.A in International Relations. Took me three years (deployment versus class schedule conflicts) but I have a diploma from OU up on my wall, and not a diploma factory.
  22. That's too bad. The KC-135 AC OME really isn't that difficult. That you've seen multiple of these end in Q3 is just testament to why AC upgrade should not be conducted in-unit. But I digress...
  23. For what it's worth, the AC upgrade in the KC-135 is a SPOT OME, so multiple legs, ideally with an overseas component. The AC upgrade candidate is given 3-engine work (including engine failure prior to S1) in the sim during training--the worst he'd get is a U for that training sortie with a chance for additional training. Emergency procedures aren't evaluated on the OME per se...there is normally a table top EPE given at some point, usually a big picture discussion with Dash-1-looking-up going on. I've never heard of a Q3 for an OME, though I have heard of several "come-to-Jesus" talks with the evaluator during...
  24. I agree. In the tanker there isn't much to spend brain cells on between Gear - Up (P, CP) and Flaps - Up (P, CP), so if you can't manage to get your flaps up before you blast through your limiting speed with no SA on what's happened then you probably deserve what you get. I think most tanker EPs I've met are pretty big picture, but there are just a handful of those you-just-don't-do-that things that will get you.
