  1. No high paying civilian business cares about your masters in underwater basket weaving from TUI either.

  2. Big day for VSPs! Mine was approved today. 2002 11M (KC-135 WO) UPT ADSC competes 30th of this month. Current ADSCs for PCS, GI Bill transfer, and TA. Figure I'll owe $2250 for TA. Not sure how the GI Bill benefits will work. I transferred one month to the wife and one month to the kid. Haven't used any of it. I submitted at 0000CST on 6 Feb. App made it to BPO on/about 12 Feb. Sat there since. I'm willing to provide any other info for interested parties. For those trying to PC, my buddy at MacDill flying BBJs just had his approved on the 8th. Said the SMSgt at the AFPC PC office told him that they are set up to process 150 PC apps per year, and they've had 700 since Jan and avg 60 more every week. Also said the SECAF sits down every day and cranks thru 8-10 apps per day for waivers/approvals at her level. Take that for what it's worth. Thanks to everyone here. You kept me sane when the stress was mounting. ATP written next Monday! Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!

  3. I'm not advocating firing anyone, most people have never had to fire anyone and don't realize how hard it is, but there needs to be a serious inquest into how afpc runs. Archaic websites, no customer service, terms and conditions pdsms that are convoluted, and the general disarray they appear to be in. Something tells me nobody will really care though unless it involves sexual assault or bathroom rights for trannies.

  4. New PSDMs this week huh? Ahh, another broken promise from AFPC. At least they are consistent.

  5. It's not that big if a deal...MWS IP is > than OSA IP, however it's not the end all be all. When I left the C-21 in 2006, they just started the ACIQ flow for MWS guys coming over. If that's still the case, you'll quickly upgrade to IP. I'd bet it would be around the 1 year point. The C-21 was a great time...simple jet, simple mission, & good flying.

  9. No high paying civilian business cares about an associate degree (CCAF). If the E-9s really care about their folks, they would steer them towards a bachelors degree. But nope, it's about making sure people check the boxes to indicate "desire and potential."

  10. Yeah, yeah, that's fine and all, but they're not priced high enough to be in the AFE shop. Everyone knows it has to cost at least $200 for each item. That's where my plan will really get the attention of our contracting warriors. But I'll sell them on the idea that it'll be cheaper if we work with the USN and USMC to design a joint glove. At first I'll say it'll be cheaper, but I'll have a few cost and timeline overruns and actually they won't really work right and look kinda fat and stupid. I'll think call it Joint Safety Fabric or "JSF."

  11. I'm at scooters and one of our DDs has failed to observe the ROE. So now we have 1.5 carloads of people and 1 driver. Also, we just had an ice-storm so it is stupid cold and not a good idea to leave people, as they may well pass out and Q3 life for failing to not freeze to death. There being no available fat chicks to send Lts home with(think Luke Skywalker hiding inside the TaunTaun), we do the only sensible thing and pile all 8 of us into the one available car. We successfully evade Enid's finest until arrival at the gate. Rent-A-Cop informs us "You can't have that many people in the car, it's not safe". So we did the safe thing, which was to have 3 drunks trudge home 2 miles on icy streets.

  12. Dude, someone should be fired for this debacle. How many of us could continually fvck up this badly and systemically yet continue to hold our present jobs? There has to be accountability somewhere. I humbly disagree
