April 22, 200916 yr I posted this over at AirForceOTS.com: I collected another years worth of data on baseops, but I find it very annoying when people post "and the rest were T-1's." I can't really get a good perspective on trends this way without knowing class sizes. Anyways, for the % calculations, I've omitted any data where T-1's were not given a specific number. To get an idea of how much the 38 drops have changed in the last year, look at these plots. Look at the trend in T-38 drops (ACTIVE DUTY ONLY): I'll eventually post a spreadsheet of the data, but I want to work out the issues where people didn't post the number of T-1s. If I could at least get sizes for these classes then I can just calculate the number of T-1s. The other issue is that although people generally mention which T-38's were guard/reserve/international, they don't usually do the same with T-1s. Hence, the % values may be a little low, since guard/reserve/international are removed from the T-38 data and not the ones from T-1s.
April 22, 200916 yr Wow. I knew the Viper pipeline was backed up, but... wow. Do all the non-ENJJPT bases drop an equal amount of T-38s every year? Any predictions on who might be dropping more T-38's in a mid 2010 pilot training class? Cheers! -Stuck

If one class at CB for example has a bunch or sh!t hot studs and the class at XL had a bunch of guys who just barely got by, they can trade slots for different airframes as appropriate. And there are no predictions. See above post with the graph. It changes all the time. Unless you are at no-chance-Vance, then you are, as the Irish say fuked.
April 23, 200916 yr UNLESS I'm at Vance? But Vance is "No Chance Vance?" Great. No worries. I put: Vance Columbus Laughlin Whiting Thoughts? Or does it really even matter? Cheers and thanks. -Stuck
April 23, 200916 yr Doesn't matter. You will have the same opportunity regardless. Vance just gets a bad rep.
