Next 9/11: drone swarms targeting airliners, first or second climb segments, most vulnerable.

Simultaneous execution across a dozen or more airports before NAS can react and shut down.

Clancy predicted 9/11 methodology seven years prior.

Why would you bother trying to hit a moving target?  Just hit them on the taxi if you're going after airliners.  Would take a small bit of explosive added to drone.

I was at Stansted a day after Trump and they stopped all traffic for a drone flying around.

Two Ryan Air went around and departures stacked up about 12 deep. I can't imagine the chaos if it was Heathrow instead...or a day earlier when POTUS was there.

Sadly, this will probably become more and more prevalent. We will soon miss the days of only a moronic jet pack guy farting around final.

By the time a 4th location has an airliner explode and burn on the runway it would institute a ground stop that would last days.

We need to seriously think about how ready to escalate to mass casualties any opponent would be with us. 1-4 airliners full of injured people would overwhelm local response at any major metro area… for tens of thousands of dollars you could neutralize air travel across a continent if you were so bold to chose that as your method of delivery.

Shutting down Honalulu, Narita, Ninoy Aquino for 72-96 hours would be a hell of a problem to solve while we don’t make positive movements to solve the other big one.
