I know we go to WP, but how much additional tests is it on top of FC1, and is it common to find things that can DQ you that wasn't found during our FC1? They honestly just verify the results of you IFC and make sure nothing was missed. So they may redo your eyes, height, blood pressure, and etc... It's just a verification process honestly from my experience.
Thursday at 09:27 PM4 days Anyone receive any indication of assignments. I know it’s early but just checking. I already did all the MFS stuff and pretty much have no prerequisites required before I PCS

In the meantime, Im enjoying the upgrade blender and depending on PCS dates my finny flight may well be my checkride with the holidays about to eat up my month 3 and 4.

I’m not in my window until May I think. I’m on leave for the next week and then my last 2 weeks on mids after that. Then my team goes on recon for 7 weeks and I don’t go back to flying the line until February so I’m hoping to be out processing by then. I am going to finish my MCC upgrade though. I’m just glad I don’t have to go through IPUG because I know I would’ve started in December if I didn’t get picked up lol.

Got back from said tdy and was promptly removed from IPUG. I wish I could have gotten it just for the K code but I guess the DO didn't want to waste his time with me and my CC just backed up the the DO and said it was his decision. Looks good when you go up for Major but you should have enough time to get your K code when you eventually get to your new MWS if you're a Lt right now or even a young Captain.

Yeah I don’t put on Capt until 27 so I’ll have enough time to get my K-code

1 hour ago1 hr Just curious… for those with families, what is your plan for the PCS to UPT? If the current syllabus holds through CY26, we’ll PCS to our UPT base, go TDY to IPT for 4-5 months, then back to UPT for 3-4 months in T-6s, then TDY to the FTU for our MWS for 3-6 months. Squeeze a SERE TDY in there for a month too. I don’t want to leave my family behind at our current duty station, but it’s hard to think about moving them across the country to a place where they have no support system in some middle-of-nowhere town when I’ll be gone for 6-12 months of the approximately 18 months we’ll live there. It probably makes more sense if you want to fly something fast and pointy so you’ll spend more time at UPT for T-38s, but I personally don’t have that desire.

Currently stationed in San Antonio with a wife and kid and reached out to them asking if I could get San Marcos for IPT. Talked with someone who got picked up last year and they told me that the board was able to accommodate an IPT request for family reasons. Plan on moving them out to the UPT base post IPT and just eating the cost to move the rest of our stuff.Either way it sucks because you have to PCS to a UPT base prior to IPT and then lose BAH at your current location. To me it’s worth it though to keep them in place. I always thought it was a PCS to your FTU unless they changed that? Edited 1 hour ago1 hr by Shultzy22

From my understanding, they just changed things to where you only find out your MWS at drop night now and don’t find out your location until you finish up at the FTU. If that’s the case, they can’t PCS you and then send you to the FTU because you don’t know your final duty station yet. I hope they’re able to accommodate you for IPT locations that make sense!
