July 19, 201312 yr My unit is only allowing us to do UTAs and FTPs on our furlough days, and then only with prior approval by an 0-6! This is incredibly lame, and just wondering how other states and the reserves are handling this?
July 19, 201312 yr So far our unit has not put any restrictions on UTA's for traditional's in fact I can make up all the ones I missed being on TACC orders. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
July 19, 201312 yr I'm not in a flying unit but in our wing if ARTs have not hit their 30 day AT max, they're being allowed to come in on furlough days using AT man days. However, they're not supposed to do anything regarding their technician jobs, including answering the phone or emails. They are supposed to strictly do their military/UTA job. How that's going to work in practice, who knows, but I've been signing orders all week so a couple of guys can use AT days. Traditionals are unaffected. UTAs and AT/ST days as per normal. AGRs unaffected.
July 19, 201312 yr We have AT days for techs, but they have to document what training they are accomplishing. RUTAs also through August.

July 20, 201312 yr We have AT days for techs, but they have to document what training they are accomplishing. RUTAs also through August. Same. AT days up to 30, then ST for those that have hit 30 with good justification.
July 23, 201312 yr Author Thanks for confirming we are getting the shaft here in Arkansas. UTAs not even getting approved, and no AT over 15... Edited July 23, 201312 yr by Herkguy
July 23, 201312 yr The gov furloughed me. I am not stepping foot on that base on my furlough day. Fuck em. Unless its to get beer.
July 23, 201312 yr How are they handling the furlough? A few guys were grumpy when I came in for Guard weekend. Got yelled at by an ex-chief for using "his truck". You know, the truck that looked like all the other trucks, it just had no name or assignment number on it.
