  1. If you’re gonna use AI, at least remove the Em-Dashes 😂 Have the robots taken over the old guy accounts?
  2. Literal definition of irony.
  3. This is your guys’ actual problem. It’s legitimate delusion. And you project it on others. You say they’re the delusional ones so you don’t have to embrace the reality you are supporting right now explicitly. But this quote right here describes your and many others “delusional syndrome.” You have to understand we aren’t even that mad at the president. Politicians do politician things. But it is your choice to determine if you have any specific morality in how you interpret those actions. Im disappointed in people like you simplifying complex arguments and everything into us vs them. And the ends justify any means is the antithesis of Christianity.

  5. You’ve said this a lot now, I think you think you’re on to something. Unfortunately you’re not. What was total inflation? Estimated at about 20%. Sounds bad. But how much did the stock market go up under Biden? Oh. 40-55%, depending on index. Shit. Wages rose 19-20%, which resulted in them staying about stagnant in real terms. Home prices rose 20-35% as well, so most gained at historical rates. Ironically, Biden was probably great for moderate to high income people like those on here. Those that didn’t gain bigly are those that don’t have investments. Edit: and of course, inflation corresponds with a reduction in the true value of debt such as the national debt. J pow was how we recovered from COVID like ballers. I agree that later stimuli were bad policy, but they were mitigated by great Fed policy.
  6. Brabdawg in the hizzouse! The conventional military might of Iran for the last four decades - besides a few days of this conflict - has been countered by a couple formations of fighters, a few patriots, and the iron dome. I bet you’d argue the Houthis are a regional power because they can launch ballistic missiles. Also are you a cool guy with a security clearance 😎?
  7. For a previous O-6, you still don’t understand DIME. Destroying a power militarily that was never a military power does not achieve strategic goals. They are an emboldened economic power and that’s it.
  8. https://www.foxnews.com/live-news/trump-iran-deadline-israel-hormuz-april-7.amp So we won, right? Just have to negotiate around this concept that: Explicitly allows Iranian enrichment Explicitly gives Iran control of the Strait Removes US military from Middle East Lifting of all sanctions Even Fox is struggling on how to spin this. But we all know they’ll find a way, and the 30% will be happy.
  9. Do you seriously think it would have been worse? Serious question.
  10. What you don’t seem to get - and most don’t - Iran is not a military power. It hasn’t been a military power. It’s not an air power. It’s not a naval power. It basically has no way to project real power outside its borders. It’s not doing it now, really, it hasn’t don’t it effectively before. It hasn’t been a military power for many decades. Iran is an economic power. It is a huge oil and LNG supplier. And it now has realized just how much economic power it has via control of a strait that they weren’t really sure they could control - but now they know damn well they can just load up on quadcopters and remote control jet skis the next time there is a cease fire to be adequately able to control the world economy again. You don’t control economic power with military power. You must use diplomacy and influence. Your stated goals cannot happen with the military, because even if we nuke Tehran, a few dudes can throw some mines in an area that demands international cooperation to be a real place to go and entirely negate any military victory. Your desires aren’t achievable in the way you imagine them. And if we agree to a peace plan in which they turn the Strait of Hormuz into another Panama Canal, Iran has the negotiating room of a superpower.
  11. Called it!
  12. Bringing this back to reality and not just listening to ad hominem about how everyone who doesn’t support Israeli actions is an anti-Semite (CH), any means are justified as long as the ends are better (LR), and how we’re all fat virgins (Bdawg). My prediction: in two hours, the greatest deal ever is announced. Strikes are postponed. Iran denies. Ships still don’t move.
  13. Whoa whoa buddy. Verifiably false information, must be hard having so much pent up rage. Drink a beer bro, you’re being a Loonie, chill out. #TDS Trump Devotion Syndrome. Sorry, is this how we’re supposed to argue on this forum? Tryin to channel my inner CH/Brabdawg
  14. Ah, the famous ends justify any means. By the way, we’re past just ramblings and posts. Many in 1944 Germany used the exact same “logic” to argue that only Hitler fixed the German economy. Only Hitler restored national pride. Only Hitler stood up to foreign powers. Sure, he lied constantly, said insane things, and did horrible stuff - but every leader does bad things. Don’t waste time listing his failures; all leaders fail. If you don’t like him, you’ll focus on his rhetoric. But for people getting what they want, his misgivings are just the cost of politics. You probably won’t get the metaphors here. That’s okay, you’re part of the 30%. It’s not about Trump being Hitler. It’s about your logic train falling apart and your statements being extremely fallible.
  15. You’re just reiterating talking points that mean nothing. Literally the biggest nothing statement you can make. How do you do that in an asymmetric situation where the threat of drones and mines alone - literally the threat - makes insurance rates so high that ships cannot go through the strait? Do you have to set up a DMZ 30 miles from the border? Do you have to entirely destroy their whole ballistic missile force? Destroy the ability to launch Shaheds? Good luck. Do you have to kill all Iranian military? The men? How do you stop them from coming back in 2 years pissed off you killed a bunch of their civilians? War and the ability to disrupt is accessible by the Houthis lol. What’s your plan here Stan?
  16. Your logic isn’t logicing. You literally were saying “who are you to question the legality of orders.” My suspicion Is that the keyboard warriors here - many of them civilians such as @Lord Ratner - are going to continue to change their minds to fall in line, demonstrating they never really had any principles to start with. Let’s see if that money gets put where the mouths are.
  17. Ironic coming from a civilian. War is an extension of politics and diplomacy. We all understand that killing people and breaking things is the business. But without a clear strategy, the military doesn’t accomplish anything. In some cases, it’s counterproductive to our grand strategy (Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam).
  18. You can’t have it both ways. I’ve just stated that there is another side and explained why. Rhetorically, you calling me an anti semite with no legitimate rationale (I’m not) mirrors almost exactly the way people call you/people like you nazis with no legitimate rationale. Note that I am not calling you a Nazi.
  19. @ViperMan The estate tax/gift tax allows for tax free exemptions of $30M over a lifetime for a married couple to pass on. You really think that our billionaire overlords must be allowed to establish untaxed dynasties? The propaganda is hilarious. As a reminder, $30M is a lot of money. The largest of “family farm” operations in the top 1% - which is typically given as the propaganda reason why the estate tax is bad - is approximately $15M. When America was great - after WWII - the top marginal tax rate was >90%, with estate taxes >77%. There is literally no cogent reason why a society that touts itself as the land of equal opportunity would not support our society being based on a meritocracy - in which people don’t start a poker game with all the chips - as opposed to an oligarchy. Except, your brains have been conditioned via over 40 years of Reagan era policies to believe that allowing the rich to exist forever has always been the case during American prosperity. And you probably want to call me a socialist right now for some reason, even though I’ve literally only told you about American policies. Solution is simple - increase taxes on the ultra rich and their families, as we used to.
  20. You’re confusing criticism of Israel with antisemitism. These are not the same, although AIPAC has tried to say they are. Turns out studies show both sides are basically dead even when it comes to being anti-semites. The left does seem more concerned and upset than the right with this, though, I’ll give that to you: Also, I forgot, was it the college democrats or the college republicans that just sued 3 days ago to preserve their god given right to do Nazi salutes? https://amp.miamiherald.com/news/local/education/article315076912.html This is confusing, let’s ask Grok
  21. He’s getting defensive and taking things out of context, kinda embarrassing. You should know by now that by the time you’ve gone ad hominem you’ve already lost. Never said that there was literally only one oil price - in fact when you reread my words you’ll see I explicitly gave an example in which there is more than one price in the market. Never said that $100 futures meant anything specific, either. You okay, buddy? Also I love your “excellent” idea about how to spin this. Never realized - until you came along - you can boost the US economy by decreasing oil supply so that we can sell more natural gas. Absolute genius here - I think you’re qualified for a cabinet position!
  22. There talking points are hilarious. Prices of oil reflect global demand on a global market that essentially everyone can play in relatively easily. So if China and Russia lose oil flows from Iran, it will absolutely end up increasing the cost of US oil based on their ability to pay for the same oil that we want. Supply and demand baby. It’s why the US, which uses no Iranian oil TODAY is still subject to the same $100 BBL costs everyone else is. It’s a global market - I guarantee Texas oil folks are going to export Crude to China if they’re paying $20 per barrel more. Turns out oil folks just care about money. Hindsight is 20-20, eh? Our national security council at the time definitely would have argued that Iraq was partially to blame for 9/11 and was supportive of WMD plots to attack Israel and the US. We had been in 13 years of constant operations over Iraq, because they were actively and pernicious attacking us - definitely doing the same things Iran has been and we would have the exact same narrative. Also, we probably created 1000 martyrs alone with the US killing of the 150-175 school girls. You remember ISIS right?
  23. Does a potential conspiracy from world leaders where a large portion all were involved in child rape for years matter? It sure did back when Qanon said that a liberal cabal was doing it. I’d say from the stance of someone with a shred of morality that it matters. You gonna really try to take this road? “Does potential unpunished child rape matter?” You all have been reading biased news and sticking your head in the sand. You can read the files yourself. They are on the justice.gov websites. Why do some people have a tendency to want to not trust the news and instead trust dude bro podcasters when it comes to things like COVID #doyourownresearch, but then they do nothing/fall in line when it comes to things that could “hurt their worldview” like the Epstein files? It’s intentional so they can not have to challenge their preconceptions and/or go against their tribe. You and they are receiving a strong push from those you align with that you will not be perceived well if you buy into this. The message is to just ignore it, don’t look at it, don’t think about it. You guys are smarter than that. As a reminder, the house is forcing Bill and Hillary Clinton to testify. Do you think what’s in the Epstein files is worse, the same, or better for Clinton than for other political idols? You think these files just say Clinton? Not even close. What exists? Heinous accusations from NTOC. Here’s just a couple (could have easily include 5-10 times this number of screenshots): Signed depositions with dozens of pages of declared alleged abuse. Clear phone records where Trumps phone number dials Epsteins phone number well past the mid 2005 story that has been told. Blackmail from Epstein alleging Bill Gates got an STD from a Russian girl. More formally submitted allegations about abuse of a child: Multiple times where Elon Musk directly asked to go to the island for “wild parties” and Epstein said he would get him a heli, directly contradicting Elons statements. Oh is it weird you haven’t seen that on X much? Official declassified FBI intelligence marked Secret//NF tying Epstein to both Israeli and Russian foreign influence operations: https://www.justice.gov/epstein/files/DataSet%2010/EFTA01683874.pdf Many sources commenting on multiple high profile people such as Trump, Israeli PM, Dershowitz, Bush, Clinton, etc. could be compromised at various levels. This is pulled directly from the justice.gov website. There are literally millions more. There are good reasons why many are arguing that an apolitical look and investigation of people such as Trump, Clinton, Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Andrew Mountbatten, Richard Branson, etc. are warranted. Of course there’s not a smoking gun. They gonna release a video of all these people abusing a child? That’s not the argument. The argument here is: is there sufficient evidence to support an investigation to substantiate or clear these claims? We know there were more abusers than just Epstein. My recommendation: take a breather on the media propaganda they are trying to have you consume - it’s trying to make you think one way without literally any evidence. Look at the files yourself. Why would the media, who is owned exclusively by billionaires who benefit from the status quo, go out of their way to break this story? If you don’t get it yet, they want the system as it is. Also, dont play politics with child rape conspiracies. And stop trying to make this a liberal v conservative slugfest. You come off like someone who can’t read or form any of their own thoughts. The evidence in the files is much worse than any obtuse outside podcaster/talk radio argument they’re trying to feed you. And it’s not just one person or one party. It’s everyone that is rich. Honestly, the one thing I took away from this is that wealth of that magnitude corrupts humans. On top of that, this is just what they have intentionally released so far. There are millions of files, pictures, and videos that they have not.
