“It’s always been that way” is the main response most of us have heard when we’ve questioned some archaic non-sensical policy required by the AF. Usually, it’s offered up by some schlubby TSgt at finance explaining why my voucher wasn’t paid out on time.

Reasons I’ve not been required to use base lodging in the past: it’s full of asbestos (x2), bedbug infestation (x3), the building was condemned (x3), the water is brown, black mold etc. All of these items were of course promptly fixed, followed by an almost identical memo above, before once again another memo was issued stating the opposite, because aforementioned issues weren’t in fact fixed. No idea where that $50 mil repair budget went though..

It’s unnecessary to pay Hilton nightly rates for Red Roof Inn levels of accommodation, especially when I can use the same money to stay somewhere that won’t add to my VA claim. All of this so DoD can get a kickback.

Apologies for the diatribe. I’ll get off your lawn now, although your lawn is probably a cleaner place to stay than base lodging..

Hampton in Altus is worse than on base. Holiday Inn Express is the only okay hotel in town.

A large part of me wants Trump to win just to beat the damn system.  He is an ass.  That is for sure.  But, he’s been attacked at every turn for years, often with fabricated stories and complete falsehoods. I’d love to see him continue to take on everything that I see that is wrong with our government and media.  I despise the elites and their double standards in this country to my core.  He’s the only one I see who is fully in the ring with them.  I would like to see him win.  And I would like to see things change.

And then what if he wins?  We get an even bigger ass with a bigger, louder chip on his shoulder.  We get the other side who will become even more unhinged and desperate to ruin anything and everything he does.  Not seeing any of that outweighs my desire to see him win the next election.

At this point, I want to see him beat the system in court.  Not in politics.

I like Ramaswamy.  I’ve been listening to a lot of what he has to say.  He’s certainly refreshing and isn’t part of the system.

He's not beating the Feds, homie. Even if he was elected POTUS and pardoned himself, which will happen, he's still on the hook for the state charges. Between Trump and Biden looks like South Park got it right with the Giant Douche and Turd Sandwich episode.

  3. On the flip side I was an E who banged two E’s, one accused me being a rapist after lying on a statement saying we never banged, court martialed, acquitted of being a rapist and found guilty of dereliction of duty X 2 for banging two E’s. Demoted two stripes and an LOR.

Since the USAF was sour grapes I didn’t get a punitive discharge, they sent me to a discharge hearing and got separated at 16 years.

I ran into one of the E’s a few years ago at Altus as a contractor. She quickly realized her Post-USAF aspirations of working for my company as a sim instructor were slim to nill as I’m a PM on the program.

I await the passed over C-17 jerkoff virgin in here that follows me around this forum saying what a good thing it was I got booted.

I like it as well, bought the Holosun sight with it but the sightline seems a bit off to me, might be my look angle.  When I have more time I will adjust and play with it a bit more.

I haven't modded mine, yet. I CCW with it and it's been great.

The problem is that the benefits don't look as good as companies are upping their own benefits. Target, Starbucks, and Taco Bell all have better tuition assistance than the military, for example.

Congress is going to have to recognize that military pay and benefits are not keeping pace, especially for what we ask people to do.

Apple gave me more tuition assistance, as a part-time technician working a college job, than the USAF ever did. There was also a lot less hoops to jump through to use it.

My understanding of the Frankentanker is it has a -200 fuselage, a -300 wing/motors and a -400 cockpit.  The 200 was a pig, the 300 was nice and never flew the 400.

It also has an upgraded APU to run all the refueling systems during the preflight.

I'm looking at moving to the 46 as well and that is the case. The 46 isn't quite a 767 (there are a couple differences) so they won't give you the type now. Only the guys that stood up the program because they had to get a background in the 767 before learning the differences to be able to fly the 46. That's my understanding from talking to those guys. I've been told though it's a pretty sweet jet to fly and it's really nice for some of us who are older and like to walk out to a jet that is half preflighted with air conditioning and a pot of coffee already going emoji1.png

It’s based off a 767-200 (2C cargo variant), which is the Boeing FM that it uses.

    Rambling

I supported Biden, someone I didn’t vote for, by posting a link to the actual Justice Manual the DOJ uses for charging elements?

Almost every conservative on here claims they don’t like Trump, then proceeds to rant about whataboutism.

No one is asking an attorney how to fly an aircraft and no one cares what pilots think of how to conduct charging strategies in criminal court.

Speaking of a criminal syndicate. They seem to scurry like rats when being deposed under oath.
