Line number is all about time in grade tyoically OTS guys commissioning in Jan - May will have the first 300-500 line numbers. Zoomies will have the next 900 rotc and OTS will out the rest based on their month they commisioned ATZ guys will always pin on first and BTZ always last

i don't know the answers to most, if any of these first hand. learjetter sat on a board. perhaps he'd divulge. i have heard that the packages are divided up into 3-5 groups, and only your group usually scores/sees your package. i am unsure if all pilots are in same group vs all maintainers in another, etc etc.

Keeping an ID isn't as useful as it once was ti get into base your card gets scanned and only your most current card is recognized. The others are taken and you will be in trouble for using an old card if you aren't even in the military anymore, it will be worse You also have to scan your ID to use the commissary. They are pretty worthless now, unless you want to get 15% off at your fav restaurant

Waing you will most likely be continued til 24 years if you like. There is no way to decline it (if you have a adsc left and bonus signing of 2 years left) I'd guess you have to serve those sentences out.... Then you can cut chalk when you want (with no benefits) one ne you get out under your own accord, your GI schooling should still be usable

Very interesting that APZ was lower this year than last i thought with the new direction to promote best qualified regardless of promotion zone would have led to higher APZ numbers

I think we are all on the same page, I just read your post to have different meaning than you meant. i would have worded it that 28% of those packages promoted were Ps. i wasn't worried about 23% vs 28%... I thought you were saying that only 28% of the P packages were promoted.

Someone care to explain the math? if 70% are DP and near 100% promotion rate, then the remaining 30% are Ps and in order to get to 93% promotion rate, 75% of Ps would have to be promoted .... Or a total of (23/30)% Not sure where the above 28% up from 20% is coming from (unless you mean that 28% of ABZ Ps were promoted)

Your operations group only had a 67 % promotion rate?? isnt the overall promotion rate 95% and weren't there 75% DPs, meaning that around 23 of your 30 should have had DPs??

What ever happened to vetter did anyone get selectively continued and get out (instead of working worry free for 5-10 years and getting a retirement at 42??? also, what happens if you are selectively continued to 20, but then get promoted down the line??
