  1. 85% promotion rate this year 65% in the zone. The remainder comes from below and above the zone and equates numerically to roughly 20% of the in the zone eligibles.
  2. Senior Raters and the FSS have always gotten the info early both have letters to draft, documentation to update on surfs, etc group and squadron commanders or equivalent find out a few days later. Individuals have always found out by COB prior to release date. Statistics don't generally come out until public release date. Sometimes a senior rather Or base might try to figure out statistics based on their persons and the list, but it's only accurate to a certain degree.
  3. I'd say yes. Or at least they have the list for those they are the senior rather ID for in afproms. Says it right there in the image
  4. First time I've ever seen an announcement like that. Ever
  5. Most people's ADSC are up in summer/fall... they probably caught up with last years seps, and aren't sure if it will continue this summer /fall because of all their awesome "fixes" to the system. They'll realize just as many are punching..... in the coming months
  6. TERA isn't current authorized anymore. It was when they were RIFing. But expired everything else said was correct. You will retire no problem. Just don't give them a reason to dishonorably discharge you
  7. I am sure Analysts learn statistics and dampening equations at college, but somewhere along the way, AFPC teaches them that hyperbole extrapolation is the only answer
  8. It's been like that since CY15 boards.... at least that's when it began. Seems as though it has continued in 16.... we will see if it continues in 17 here in the next month. Only way to know for sure is to get ahold of the memorandum to the board...which is the same for each bird within the calendar year. It takes about 7 days to get the memo from afpc through a FOIA request.
  9. Duck, If you have/had such a good record, how'd you manage to get passed over? What's the secret sauce?
  10. LOL november of 18. that's a somewhat WAG, but probably pretty accurate. you're board meets this December and will be finalized/results public by the end of March 18. I'd venture that the 17B guys are done pinning on in October 18.
  11. Ok, good points . I'm going purely based on the strats he mentioned. Those are better than most I see. Way better. Afmedic, your PRF is already at the board which met in late February, correct?
  12. Well I don't want to get your hopes up too much. The board may look through your records more closely and depending on how the navy does business, it may make a difference in how they score your records.... but id say you have a great shot btz, and def an easy shot in the zone if it comes to that
  13. I have never once thought about someone coming in from another service and how their PRF might look. Very interesting You have a lot of major strats, so I'm assuming you are asking for an 0-5 to 0-6 section board? If you are asking about a major to lt col board, then you are a shoe in for LT col btz.
  14. Or the medical field board is timed different.
  15. Probably deciding which to put first on each line. Prfs are already in for LAF lt col board.... if he's talking about lt col to col.... then still same answer, but typically don't see too many cgo strats on one of those (that make it to col)
  16. 1/60 is a tad better than #4/118, but both are good 1/32 majors is way better than a cgo strat 5/340 majors is better than 4/118 majors if your prf was full of great cgo strays and no majors strats, then you are in trouble. Major and fgo strats are a weighted heavily.
  17. most twice passed over will be selectively continued at this point
  18. I don't see what difference it really makes. I've always preferred going off base to drink. and they can't stop that. even if you want to have a promotion celebration. just have the official ceremony on base and cut chalk and take the real celebration somewhere else.
  19. While I think you are right on all accounts, it doesn't matter you will either be promoted or you won't be (at which point you will be continued) they arent going to pay to pay you to leave at this point. So take the 20 year retirement as a captain as a blessing in disguise and go enjoy yourself and your family if you have one. Or get out and do something better. But you aren't getting sep pay IMO
  20. I think 1/15 lt cols is better than a "more broad" 1/19 FGOs, but maybe that's just me I have heard that a strat in your rank is the best you can get.... even a major strat over an FGO strat for instance. FGO strats are given more to lt col (s) who don't need major strats and aren't really in the mix for lt col strats yet
  21. discussion question: which strat would you rather have on your PRF going into the MAJ to LtCol board? #1/14 Majs. or #1/14 FGOs and does the answer change if you are going into the LtCol to Col board?
