Any LPAs out there planning to figure out a way to have the Napoleon Death Mask hanging in their squadron bar?
  2. More sexual assault training will be coming. Ordered by SECDEF.
  3. Be careful posting pics. It may just prompt another group buy/year wait/8 more pages of update requests.
  4. New motto for the SARC.
  5. Belleville 693 if you have to have something flight certified. I can't stand walking on pillows or the feel of heavy boots.
  6. Your argument sounds eerily similar to having support functions on base do things like travel vouchers or Awards/Decs so the pilots can focus on doing their jobs. The problem with your logic is that EPs and systems ARE a major part of the pilot's job. Most of us strive to be something more than just stick actuators and checklist monkeys. Also, Is this the standard way of flying in your airplane? This is exactly the kind of CRM complacency that makes planes crash.
  7. That's where Rainman's been the last few months...

    Hobby Lobby
  9. That's a pretty shocking magazine cover.
  10. But with the program manager gone, who's going to make the CBTs to make sure we don't do what he did?
  11. Long post, but actually worth the read. Greasy, you should give lessons.
  12. Should work the same aerodynamically in a pointy, but you guys have fixed stations for weight. Move CG aft of the center of lift and horizontal stabilizers/elevators no longer have sufficient authority to maintain stable flight. Often CG is calculated within inches-feet so pushing back a part of the load a few feet can be catastrophic. Let's say you have a single large item in the back that comes loose. Aircraft pitches up during rotation and that item slides back. At worst, the result could be continued overrotation followed by an unrecoverable stall.

Bingo, and that's the rub of it all. It only matters if it fits the media's agenda.

Man dies from heart attack while attempting to break the world record for longest zipline while suspended by hair when ponytail jams halfway down. Link
  16. Dude, you've gotta stop hating on your job. There are already enough copilots on the plane.

I've never had a problem finding it. Most gunshops I've been to have a few boxes of S&B for around $30. I'm TDY to HMN right now and have seen boxes of Winchester every time I've been in the BX for $26.

Nice. My TT33 (nearly identical to your M57) is easily one of the most fun shooters in my collection. Extremely accurate and reliable. Now if only I could find those 1240 round bricks of 7.62x25 for under $100 again I'd be set.

Shack. Don't ever be that guy. To the crew.
  21. I see what you did there.

I only shoot my Mosin after watching Enemy at the Gates. I will agree, though, the fun lasts for a few hours but the bruises last for days.
