    So you're saying that it's the commander's job to solve everyone's problems? Holy crap--no wonder the AF is getting so effed up! Tell me you're not a commander...
  2. The other option (not a good one) is to go on the assignment unaccompanied. I only mention it FYSA, because when I got orders to Yokota, my son was denied medical clearance and AFPC attempted to force me to go unaccompanied for 2 years. It was eventually turned off, but something you may want to be ready to fight...

  3. Same thing with the USAREUR CSM out of Macedonia back in the mid 90s. Traveling out of country with the troops doing the job. No special treatment wanted or needed--the most down-to-earth, professional soldier I ever met.
