    Aviation Continuation Pay (ACP - The Bonus)

    I’m looking to get 6 months of my 5 year ACP ADSC waived to retire. It’s my only ADSC. Anyone have any insight into this? I skimmed the PC thread but didn’t find anything relevant. I’m thinking it shouldn’t be a big deal to repay the unearned portion of the bonus to have the ADSC forgiven but I know the AF has a habit of making these things more difficult than they should be.

    10 years ago no waiver was required. Apply for retirement, enter your requested date. If approved, expect your last check or two to be zero to recoup the bonus.

    I've known a few that have played the profile game. When they do everyone knows it and he/she loses credibility to discipline PT failures. 
    I do think this is a good change though. We have to go back to allowing people to work out during duty hours. Its unreasonable to expect someone with a wife and 2 kids to pull 10 hour days and then spend another 90 minutes a night at the gym. 

    You only work 10/day?

    VA Loans

    Hey RASH,
    Have him give Jon a call or email. He’s our loan officer licensed in WA. We’re typically .25-.375 lower than the national average on conventional loans, but Jon can work up some specific rates for him. We’ll make sure to give him the best deal we can. Try to make it as painless as possible.

    VA Loans

    Marty/anyone at Trident,
    My son is getting ready to buy his first home in the Seattle area. It won’t be a VA loan, but I’m wondering if/how you compete in the conventional mortgage department? When a 3BR/2BA house in a decent neighborhood starts at $700k, he’s looking for anything to ease the pain! Thanks in advance!

    Allergies/Allergy info

    Thread revival. I’m a active duty pilot, been stuck Clovis and my allergies absolutely kill me every fall. The standard Claritin/Allegra/eye drops just aren’t cutting it. Anyone have any luck getting the allergy shots immunotherapy? It’s most deff seasonal allergies in this area, if I go TDY/deploy I immediately feel better. 
     
    Im a little nervous to go to flight med, I’ve been stuck in drone land for awhile and I’m about to return to fly/PCS. I can suck it up for another fall but I’m remaining in AFSOC, odds are I will be back to the Clovistan at some point in the future. 

    I spent 4 years in Lubbock (Reese AFB) back in the day, and it was the cotton harvesting that killed me every year. It was 1990, but the doc said to take my Allegra and Flonase and keep my mouth shut otherwise. Almost 30 years later, and I’m still taking the drugs. But I also flew for 20 years straight by not rocking the boat. Turns out I probably should’ve been DNIFd, but the doc worded my waiver “correctly” and no one was the wiser. YMMV...
