I can also tell you for certain that the first issue (the NCO telling him not to write it down) is definitely legit. I wasn't at that specific orientation, but was in charge of the next years orientation and can say that the NCO's routinely rushed things along when they weren't positive, and even tried to fuck my forms up the year before spuds joined. (somewhat understandable, considering the number of noobs they're in-processing at once, however, I think her memo stating she never said such a thing was a serious foul.)

I'm guessing the miserable part of Fam Camp would be the noise? I personally would much rather live in a 31' RV than this termite invested 1 bedroom 69 sq ft dorm room they put single dudes in. I can personally attest to a fucked up weapon after getting it back from the armory. Also, a few weeks after I checked it out permanently and left it with a bro in a house, I got more than a few emails saying they were gonna destroy my weapon if I did not come in and fill out paperwork or remove it from the armory. I would have gone in to claim my new free gun, but I've had as many 12 hour days since being off formal release (sts) than when we were on (not bitchin, I love my job).
