  1. I love when you drive through the gate with multiple people and have 5 other guy's CaCs in your hand.
  2. I tried, but it says that my e-mail (name)@(base).af.mil is not supported at this time. Bummer.
  3. I got 74 AFOQT with a 95 PCSM and no flight hours. AFOQT is not as weighted as much as the TBAS, just an fyi. Also, I had no stick/rudder time. Just concentrated you hardest. *edit for being drunk and missing words
  4. From what I've gathered, zoo candidates don't take the TBAS but OTS/ROTC do. So if you're from the zoo then that makes sense, and if not did you take the BAT? The TBAS replaced the BAT.
  5. Thread Revival: iPhone 3.0 Software was released today! Although it was something ridiculous like 230 megs..
  6. Sustained 10g Not sure how to embed this type of clip, maybe someone can help me out. Anyway, the 3rd guy going through the fuge' (2:42 in the clip) sustains 10.2g's for three minutes. Is this real? Knowing guys that have gone through the centrifuge, they say holding 7.5 for 15 seconds sucks...can't imagine 10 for 3 mins.
  7. Like this? am I the only one found that utterly hilarious. *Edit for sucking: My quoting skills need some work.
  8. Not sure I agree. 1) Getting shit done and playing/winning the ROTC 'game' (CC ranking is 50% of your OM) 2) Academics (top of our class had mediocre gpa's) 3) PT 4) ROTC clubs 5) Flying time (why pay for time when the AF will pay for ya)
  9. Cap-10 you seem to be in the know. How are China's forces dispersed in/around N. Korea? I know China condemned the nuke test/missile launches..so do you think that is a '###### you N. Korea you're on your own'?
  10. Theoretically.....and highly improbable N. Korea would be dumb enough to do anything in the first place, BUT... If S. Korea inspects N. Korea's ships -> N. Korea attacks S. Korea -> S. Korea + USA (?) destroy N. Korea -> China steps in (?) Unknowns are highlighted by the question marks. What is the probability we step in to aid S. Korea (I'm guessing high) and furthermore what is the probability China would step in for N. Korea's aid since they are close allies. Anyone a world affair guru? *Edited for spelling
  11. I got cited, underage consumption, reported it, court ordered class, case dismissed, they dismissed whatever form ROTC needed along with it. So yes, report and then fight.
  12. We got the speech about reporting school-related incidents also even if they didn't involve police. Unless you chopped a dudes arm off and the school decided to punish you rather than the police, it's not that big of a deal. My cadre never investigated our university record... but beware some schools might and you'd be . I can't tell you how many school-issued parking tickets I got. I reported the first one my freshman year because of the rule and then realized that was beyond belief.
  13. 1) Hour and a half max probably 2) Interesting, I mean it couldn't hurt right? It wouldn't help on the first portion of the test, but might as well practice what you can. I wouldn't dwell on it too much though.
  14. Not sure if that's the case anymore. When I commissioned last Dec...they told me to save my receipts and I'll be reimbursed when I finally go AD. So if it's still the same you'd need to have some dime to throw around (but you'll get it back).
  15. The cross-towners end up being legit cadets because they don't turn into the AFROTC toolbags. They are able to escape the scene more, party, and still kick ass on the weekdays when they need to engage.
  16. Is the Dole plantation still up and running? I heard that it was getting closed down sometime? Could have been a rumor..
  17. Never had the personal tour, but the USS Arizona is definitely worth the visit. The Hale Koa is a great hotel too, one of the few hotels that has a resort atmosphere on waikiki also. Behind the Hale Koa there is vegetation, a park close by, and is just a great place away from all the tourists.....has it's own part of the beach too that's usually less populated. The sand isn't as soft though...but minor details. Overall I had a great experience there, worth the trip.
  18. Will need someone to validate, but was told tonight's ENJJPT drop was: F-15E F-15C x2 B52 x2 B-1 NSA U-28 C-17 x2 KC-135 E-8C UAV T-38 FAIP
  19. Engineering Pick something that'll make ya lots of money when Brooks DQ's ya for something stupid.

  24. http://aviationmedicine.com/resources/file...Guide%20PDF.pdf page 29. Answer's every question imaginable about height/weight wavers.
  25. Didn't know where to put this, but this thread sounds good. Just came across this and haven't seen it posted here in a while, it's a 591 page document describing many waiverable medical conditions in detail; however it does not cover the most frequently asked questions (eyesight, height). http://aviationmedicine.com/resources/file...Guide%20PDF.pdf I had asthma symptoms when I was young and thought I was completely f'd, but found this file and found out it's waiverable. Went to Brooks, got drilled by the flight docs, stayed a few extra days, but ended up getting the waiver in the end. Should help some people. Also covers mood disorders/suicide attempts.
