They didn't stifle information flow. Withholding identity at that moment in time was in line with existing regulations.

If it was my daughter I'd do the exact same thing. Imagine losing your daughter/son and stepping into the social media world to see every possible evil conspiratorial thing being said about your child. Whatever can be done to lessen the pain and stress would be done if I were them. Regardless of how many hours she could have had, it's not going to stop the fucktards from dragging him/her down. I rarely flew on a sortie that had a crew full of 1,000+ hour folks. There is always going to be a low hour guy on board getting training. Why is there no talk about the instructor/evaluator on board?

Could be 'kink' or could be you don't trust your roommates

  5. yeah i saw that one initially and was looking way off on the horizon. Sucker was close
  6. Yeah, of course we're talking theoretically here.

She was not recovered according to the timeline I have read. The other two were recovered and confirmed dead. The last crew member was listed as DUSTWUN until the release a short while ago. Not every event that happens in this shitty world is a globalist conspiracy. Some are. Most aren't.
  8. Curious where everyone trains/shoots. Lucky enough to be in an area with lots of Forest service land and can pretty much have no limits on what type of shooting/drills I can do.

Every time I get the idea in my head that armed assholes breaking into my house is pretty much a fantasy the internet shows me a current incident reminding me the chance not zero. Kid got really lucky..
  10. Was absolutely screaming in. Got up to 1600 feet on departure then -11000 fpm on last adsb hit.

I was hoping it was Alice In Chains before the preview populated. My absolute favorite.

From what i'm seeing it only got to 1660 feet altitude on takeoff as well.

Last ADSB hit had it at -11000 fpm
  15. Spokespeople are saying those are 'billed to' not shipped to locations. Quibbling point.

This will continue happening when all our controllers are dwarfs
  17. The old b-2 handles pulled and try harder pops up on mfd
  18. They are dumping heaps of money into the PHX area chip plant. It's biggest issue was finding qualified folks to do the work. Got years behind but apparently is spinning up much faster now. https://restofworld.org/2024/tsmc-arizona-expansion/
  19. God damn son. Getting shit done. In a sweeping move, the White House just ordered every federal agency to stop all grants and loans - effective tomorrow at 5pm. White House Office of Management and Budget acting director Matthew Vaeth: "Career appointees have a duty to align Federal spending with Presidential priorities" The pause impacts everything from foreign aid to domestic programs, while the administration reviews where taxpayer money should go.
  20. dishonorable discharges are a pretty big deal. Not going to get it for refusing an order in 'peace time'
  21. I think there is a greater enforcement fear compared to the pre-2021 days. There are going to be a lot more self deportations and greater scrutiny on the businesses benefitting from the illegal workers. No way around ripping off the band aid though.
  22. That's what I was assuming
  23. Don't forget to throw the VA into the process as well. I would imagine the great majority are drawing some form of disability. Does that get paid back?
  24. No disagreement. Just saying the disruption won't be 'minor' for quite a while.
  25. To estimate the back pay for a married E-5 service member with one dependent, discharged in October 2021 and reinstated in January 2025, we need to consider the following components: 1. Basic Pay: This is determined by rank and years of service. 2. Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH): Varies based on duty station location, rank, and dependency status. 3. Basic Allowance for Subsistence (BAS): A standard rate provided to all service members. Assumptions: Years of Service: Well assume 6 years of service as of October 2021. Duty Station: Since the location isn’t specified, we’ll use the national average for BAH rates. Basic Pay: Based on the 2021 military pay tables, an E-5 with over 6 years of service earned approximately $3,306.30 per month. BAS: In 2021, the BAS rate for enlisted members was $386.50 per month. BAH: BAH rates vary significantly based on location. For this estimate, well use a national average BAH rate for an E-5 with dependents, which was approximately $1,800 per month in 2021. Total Monthly Compensation: Basic Pay: $3,306.30 BAS: $386.50 BAH: $1,800.00 Total: $5,492.80 per month Back Pay Calculation: The period from October 2021 to January 2025 spans 39 months. Total Back Pay = $5,492.80*39 = $214,219.20 Note: This is a rough estimate. Actual back pay would depend on specific duty station BAH rates, any changes in pay scales over the period, and other potential allowances or deductions. For precise calculations, it™s advisable to consult the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) or a military pay specialist.
