I’m curious how many of our resident Liberals live in Liberal states and cities paying huge liberal taxes and exposing their families to liberals committing crime with impunity. At my airline, the few liberals amongst us, all preach social justice, equality, compassion etc as they sit ensconced in their safe, well run, low tax Republican States. I grew up in the Bronx, and it’s hard to be liberal when you see their policies and programs crash and burn around you on a daily basis for decades.

Seems pretty obvious that liberals live in these liberal cities, or they wouldn't be liberal cities.

I don't know how they see the disaster that is downtown LA and decide to vote for more of the same...but they do.

If a prosecutor believes they have a case against Hunter Biden, they should go for it! Seriously! I have never understood the idea that those of us in the left love Hunter Biden and are somehow seeking to protect him 🤷‍♂️ IDGAF about that guy, he seems like a dirtbag, and I would never ever vote for him to hold public office.

As far as Trump “not being allowed to participate” lolol ok. He ran for President twice already and WAS President for 4 years despite many, many scandals & criminal/legal allegations that would have sunk any “normal” person 10x over.

Don’t do crimes if you want to be President, that doesn’t seem like too much to ask. The fact that he is in such a high-profile position and Jack Smith and the FL grand jury decided to charge him anyways is telling.

I guarantee if he had cooperated and given back the documents (like Pence and Biden), he would have gotten that much-derided elite pass too, and people on the left would be all mad about how he slipped his way past accountability once again.

    10% for the big guy.

Y'all do know that people who are not US citizens can't vote, right? I mean, are we talking US-born second-generation adults with latino/hispanic heritage? Please elaborate on how non-citizen immigrants, either here legally or illegally, are factors in US elections.

Unfortunately without any kind of vote ID, it's tough to tell who's illegal and who isn't at the voting booth.

    NSplayer,

I was aware that Bloomberg is really a Democrat,  But he ran as a “R”  because the NY Dems didn’t support him. Nevertheless, He continued Rudy’s policies. Good on you for the facts. To answer your question why only 9 out of 50 of the top US cities are run by Dems, here’s my opinion. There are the “Makers” and the “Takers” in society. The Makers live in the exclusive enclaves of the city or more likely the suburbs. The Takers live in the city.  Look at the voting demographics in any large city and the burbs are Republican, while the City is democrat. The democrats cater to and attract the takers. The takers stay in the city where they are taken care of, and the makers leave. Let me throw a question back to you. “Why are the Democrats so hell bent on opening up the border?”  They are pandering to illegals, because these are the future voters for their party. They are importing votes. Do you think an illegal will vote for a party that promises to give them everything, or a party that promises them nothing but equality of opportunity? It’s a travesty.

    take care, good debate.

I wonder if the illegals will continue to vote democrat once they figure out a lot of the left's policies directly conflict with traditional Catholic teachings. I don't see deeply religious Hispanics (sorry, Latinxes) getting on board with transgender kids, gay pride in kindergarten classrooms, abortion up until the moment of birth, and a general disdain for the traditional masculinity found in so many Hipanic cultures...

People like you are exactly the reason we need pride month. There’s nothing wrong with being gay, it’s not a choice, and they are not pedos.

nevermind the fact that your “18x more likely” stat is completely made up, I’m sure you’re not as outspoken against pedos within the church- which is far more prevalent.

and I’d match that $100 on you most definitely having gay porn on your computer.

Is it too late to make a $100 bet about gay porn on bfargin's computer?

Can I make a $50 side bet that he's looked for love in the gay connections section of Craigslist?

Now you get to do finance’s job for them virtually instead of in person! Gives back more time for some 19 year old with a single digit ASVAB score to catch up on the latest rendition of TikTok videos.

I thought the same thing, but the virtual system has provided much better results for me than trying to go in person only to find that finance is closed for training/official function/comp day/office hangout.

More and more, what decides who moves up in the AF is about who is willing to stick around, kiss the ring, put up with the abuse, and accept life/family thrash.  So it's really a self-selecting pool. Majcoms that subject their people to high amounts of life thrash and abuse will naturally elevate the people willing to put up with it. And those people once in power will, in turn, inflict it on others.

But why does AFSOC seem to be uniquely bad at leadership? I was largely left alone by AFGSC when I was at Dyess.

Might I suggest Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho??

You know, he actually kept his congress in line, realized he didn't know how to solve all his problems, and put the smartest person he could find in charge of fixing the most pressing issues of the day.

    We could do worse.

So that makes it ok? Or am I reading too much into your comment?

I don't think it's ok. My point is that it's not limited to this administration. It isn't a GOP vs Dem thing... it's a giant bureaucracy that thrives on getting money from congress for perceived threats, with very little oversight on how the money is actually spent.

It's not disingenuous. Maybe not you personally, but you know damn well there's a large number of people who are against trans athletes simply out of bigotry and are not open to any compromise or regulations to make the game more fair at all.

No one in their right mind thinks Lebron James should be able to go to the WNBA overnight. But if the right amount of treatment is done to minimize the advantage to as little as possible or ideally 0, then who cares?

And it's worth noting that it's only ever trans women that seem to get the hate. Would you really want a trans man to compete in women's sports just because they were born a biological women? Of course not, that wouldn't be fair

Your last paragraph is the whole point.

Why do you suppose there aren't any FtM trans athletes dominating men's basketball, swimming, power lifting, track...?

Have we ever been in sustained 24 hour combat operations with a very credible air threat?  Obviously something was going on that caused a giant increase in "shoot at anything flying".

It warms my heart to think Russia has so much fear of Ukrainian air assets that they're shooting anything they see.

Not saying it never happens... but 4 in one day? Over your own country?

Have we ever lost a US aircraft to a US SAM system over the US?

If we really wanted to stop this nonsense, we would get every single male athlete, who isn’t good enough to play D1 athletics to identify as a female and soak up every single female athletic scholarship. Watch how fast that narrative would change.

Pawnman, Pooter, Polarbear, Negatory - Go read The Real Anthony Fauci. It'll be good for you. I read White Fragility and realized it was complete and utter bullshit. Maybe you'll feel the same about the former, but I bet you won't. Or you can just keep reading reports that agree with your viewpoints that have been fed to you by big pharma and keep deepening your foxhole.

Pass. I already think Fauci is a douche. That doesn't change the fact that the vaccines did drastically reduce the lethality of Covid among those most susceptible.

I never wanted broad mandates for all Americans. I recognized that the president had the authority to make the military take the vaccine. That's very different than demanding the unvaccinated be kicked out of restaurants, schools, stores, hospitals, etc.

I was going to ask the same thing but it's kinda not worth engaging.  Claiming it provides "zero protection" while being "very harmful" based on a number "he heard" is the kind of quality, evidence-based reasoning that lets me know it's probably time to put the phone down for the night.

Funny part is my point has never been about the jab itself. It's always been about having the awareness to know what you signed up for and go in eyes wide open.

I'm a big believer in worrying about the biggest and closest alligators to the boat, which, in terms of service member health risks, are:

    1) long term ailments from on-the-job hazards we've completed normalized

    2) dying in some interventionist boondoggle halfway round the world

    ...

    ...

    ...

    ...

    67) drowning in Tumon bay

    68) actual alligators

    69) covid vaccine side effects

Which is why this whole outrage seems a little manufactured, out of proportion, and strangely coincident with a red-to-blue presidential admin turnover.

One does wonder, if Trump had been reelected, touting "his" vaccine (developed in Operation Warp Speed under his administration), would vaccination trends be reversed? Would the liberals be screaming about Trump's "unsafe vaccine" and "payouts to big pharma" while conservatives "followed the science" and attempted to ostracized unvaccinated lefties "as a safety precaution"?

Yes.. which is why having a bunch of dependents you can't afford is a quick way to get on food stamps.. and why family planning is important.

Life planning decisions impact both qualification, and your eventual spending. It seems like you're being willfully obtuse here and it's really strange. Your family size is an entirely controllable thing.

It's a shame our military compensation system creates an incentive for young enlisted folks to get married as soon as the possibly can.

Live in a dorm room with drug sweeps at 3am, some asshole reving his Charger in the parking lot at midnight, and leadership randomly dropping by to see if you've dusted and mopped...all while sharing a bathroom with a kid who plays WoW 16 hours a day and has pizza boxes stacked to the ceiling (a ceiling covered in black mold, BTW)...or get married and move into an apartment off-base, away from your leadership's invasive inspections and your retarded dorm mate's behavior?

    Thanks.

You’re a killer?  And you like to kill for freedom, money or patriotic bullshit?  So did the Russians, Wagner, Taliban, Nazis, Romans, Americans.   We all did it for some sort of compensation.   I don’t like the people I’ve killed anymore than the next guy, but I respect them.

I can’t wait to find those WMDs in Iraq.  I’m really glad we destroyed that whole country because of some really, really bad intel.  I’m glad we got to burn a few civilians too that’s what real bad asses do. We are not as innocent as we like to believe.  It’s a hard pill to swallow.

Beleive what you want, but I have more in common with those dirtbags fighting for their country, freedom or patriotic beliefs than I do with the fine men and women working for us in Washington DC.   I have more in common with a guy (bad guy, good guy, who cares) who shot his enemy than a Karen working at Home Depot.

Maybe you should go hang out with them.
