  1. Marines think?

And I don't know anyone who has yet bitched out when asked to fight in the last decade. If guys leave after honorable combat service, I say thank you, and I wish them success at whatever is next.

What he said! On both statements. Marines think (relative term) anyone who isn't a Marine are pussies...who really gives a fuck what Marines think?

Personally, I would want to be there night one. But I'm not going to shit on a guy, if he has served honorably and just doesn't want to deal with another 10 years of deployments that don't seem to solve anything.

    BRISTOL, Tenn. --

Bounty hunter killed while trying to arrest the wrong person (with his own gun)

Mike Henegar prayed that the guy on the ground was still alive.

Moments earlier, a pair of gunshots pierced the dull silence of midnight at Brookside Estates mobile home park off of U.S. Highway 421.

Henegar stepped outside and a woman begged to use his cell phone. She dialed 911 but was too hysterical to talk.

That’s when the emergency dispatcher on the line said someone had to check for a pulse. Someone had to see if the man on the ground was still alive.

The man stared unblinking at the sky, his legs twisted, his arms spread in opposite directions with a pistol still clutched in one hand.

“I agreed to do it,” Henegar said of carrying out the dispatcher’s directive. “There was no pulse.”

Bounty hunter Joseph Scott Horne, 32, of Bristol, Tenn., died early Friday of a single shot from his own gun while trying to arrest the wrong person.

Witnesses said Horne ran up to his target, aimed his pistol and yelled that the guy was under arrest. Bristol Tennessee Police said the two men struggled over the weapon and multiple shots were fired.

Police said they are still piecing together the struggle and will let the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office make the call on whether to file charges. Investigators have not named the second person involved in the shooting.

“There’s too many unanswered questions at this point to make a decision on charges,” Capt. Charlie Thomas said.

A private, home-surveillance video obtained by the Bristol Herald Courier shows a pickup truck driving along the mobile home park’s Madeline Drive just minutes after midnight and vanishing from view. Seconds later, Horne, wearing shorts, can be seen sprinting after the truck.

Dogs are heard barking. Then there’s yelling from somewhere outside of the camera’s view and the dogs go quiet.

    Suddenly, a gunshot erupts.

A resident then walks past the camera and disappears in the direction of the truck and Horne.

There’s more yelling, and then a final gunshot.

One bullet grazed Horne’s target just under his right eye, police report, and he’s since been treated at Bristol Regional Medical Center and released.

Police did not say where Horne was struck. But witness William Wesley Henson, the resident seen walking in the video, said Horne was shot in the chest.

The struggle began in the cab of the pickup truck, Henson said. Both men, their hands still on the pistol, then fell to the ground and rolled to rear of the pickup before stopping partially under the truck bed.

“The other guy [the target] had his finger on the trigger and rolled the gun around and Boom! Right in [Horne’s] chest,” Henson said.

Brookside Estates residents said they know the target only as Dave, and that he lives on disability because of medical problems with his legs.

Horne, a freelance bounty hunter, was hunting a fugitive for Kingsport-based Tri-City Bonding. A company official refused to field a reporter’s queries said he had spoken to investigators and referred all questions to police.

A search of Bristol, Va., court records shows that Horne had felony convictions for credit card theft and probation violations. A search of Sullivan County court records shows a string of traffic violations and an Aug. 5, 2012, arrest on a charge of driving on a revoked license.

Residents said Horne first scoped out the mobile home for several hours while waiting for his target to come home from work. The bounty hunter had an arrest warrant with him and showed a copy of the form to anyone who cared to look.

One resident, who requested anonymity, said that Horne promised no one would get hurt that night and said he didn’t have a gun.

Henson said Horne initially arrived with four other men. But the men left and Horne stayed behind in his car, which was parked in Henson’s driveway.

“I knew somebody was going to get hurt,” Henson said. “It never should have happened.”

Henson and his brother, who lives within yards of where the struggle happened and stepped outside after hearing the shots, tackled Horne’s target. Henson, who was bit in the ensuing fight, used a set of handcuffs he spotted near Horne’s body to shackle and subdue the target.

Surveillance video shows the two brothers handing their suspect over to police.

“I left the weapon up there,” one brother yells. “I’ve got him handcuffed.”

The man in the center, wearing handcuffs, then yells to police: “Hey! I want to talk to somebody.”

A police officer strides into the camera’s view.

    “Who shot who?” she asks.

The handcuffed man replies: “He shot me first … in the head.”

  3. Your commitment to the military and the country comes before all else, no?

Negative! Sure, I'll miss some birthdays/anniversaries/holidays. But, we're talking a totally different situation here.

You can include this as one of many of Boyd's faults. He's not the only one that has bought into this notion though. I have known enough folks in the Air Force that have learned this lesson the hard way. On the other hand, you cannot discount his contributions to the military in general. As someone who spoke to Boyd on a regular basis once said, "With genius comes all of the other characteristics you can imagine." He was driven by an inherent desire to prove to people his worth. This was an attribute as well as a detriment.

I never said he wasn't smart or didn't contribute a lot. But at the end of the day, if my family hates me...I have failed!

Intruder gets killed with his own gun...bwahaha!

    Bogalusa woman shoots, kills intruder

The Bogalusa Police Department got a call just before 4:30 a.m. Thursday from a woman in the Sullivan Drive area who said a man had been trying to break into her house demanding money that she “owed him,” and that she’d shot him on her doorstep.

According to Chief Joe Culpepper, David W. Williams, 78, of Piedmont, Mo. was pronounced dead due to his injuries at LSU Bogalusa Medical Center.

“He showed up and tried to bust in the lady’s back door,” Culpepper said. “When he was unsuccessful, he went to the front door where he got into an altercation with the lady who lived at the house.

“He pulled a gun and demanded money, but she was able to get the gun away from him. He then armed himself with a stick or a board from the yard and went back at her. She shot him with his own gun.”

Culpepper said the BPD contacted Williams’ family and was told that the man had been showing signs of “some kind of dementia,” and that he’d told them he was going to Bogalusa to visit someone that he knew.

“He ended up at the wrong house,” Culpepper said. “The woman had no idea who he was. She had two children and, I believe, her mother in there. She was defending them and herself.

    No charges were filed.

“It was classified as a justifiable homicide, and, like always, forwarded to the District Attorney’s office,” Culpepper said.

  5. I doubt anyone was twisting the arm of the Supreme Air Force Commander to wear it. He wore it of his own free will.

At least he had the decency to dash any hopes of drastically improved leadership early on. Very early on.

Here we go again, leadership via uniform policy.

If this is from the swearing in, isn't Schwartz technically still the CSAF? Wouldn't he be the one who decides what the uniform of the day?

  6. Well, it's the first day for command for General Welsh as the new CoS. What are the wishes of you daring young junior aviators? No more power point presentations, no PME, and no silly Master degree requirement just let me fly and go home. If extra duties do not specificially pertain to flying, it's not my concern, I'm just a Commissioned Officer. By the way, my flight pay should be more than my base pay. One last biggie, no layoffs due to being a non select? We'll see if your dreams come true. But don't hold your breath, business as usual. The airlines await you and the AF will survive with or without you.

I would guess that most people would like one simple thing, focus on what really matters...the mission!

  7. Eglin just is not big enough for all the US and Coalition training. The runway configuration, the airspace, and the ranges just pale in comparison with Luke for the amount of training required.

What's good for training does not get votes.

  8. I'll bite.....Muscle2002 thought he had knowledge of how to land the Viper, but then called it the Fighting Falcon, something a real F-16 pilot would never say. My point was that he was NOT a Viper pilot but somebody that learned it on Falcon 4.0, or rumor, or WOM. So I told the forum what we really called it, and tried to call him out as a fake/wannabe. Turns out he is a fighter pilot.....I always preferred lawn dart.

I thought this was obvious from the beginning. Noonin had the answer right at his fingertips...so close to making the connection.

    "2" on lawn dart!

  9. A buddy sent me this recently. Not sure if this has been posted on here before, as it's a pretty old thread.

    http://forum.bodybui...20921191&page=1

Alright...I don't care if you guys believe me ... it's real. This is the the most embarassing thing that I've ever experienced... it was a horrible night for me.. and I'm sharing it with you guys because I don't want any of my misc brahs to have to go through this.. especially since it all could have been EASILY prevented. I have added MS paint images so that you have a better idea as to what happened. It's very long, but I'll do my best to recount all of the important details. no ****ing cliffs..... read it to save yourself from something like this...

    Anyway...

If you've been following my social anxiety thread you would have learned that I got an asian girls number during my last update (the encounter wasn't recorded unfortunetely because my Camera froze). But anyway, it's been over a week and I was feeling like taking a break from exam studying, and I figured that if I didn't call her before exams were done then I wouldn't get a chance to see her until after the break (which would be too long perhaps). So I called her up and asked her if she wanted to take a break from studying and meet me for coffee. Well she said yes, and we met at a campus cafe. We had some small talk, and it went well overall. After that she said "hey my roomate is making some chinese food for dinner because her boyfriend is over, would you like to come by and try some? she usually makes way more than needed". Now at that point I felt like I had to take a sh!t, but there was no way I could turn down this opportunity; it seemed like she was into me and this would be a great opportunity to get to know each other further. So I decided to try and hold my crap as long as possible (I don't crap in public toilets) and accept her invitation.

Well we went back to her place, had some food (very good btw)... and ****... I had to take take a sh!t really badly... and I also had to take a piss really badly (I had been holding that too since I didn't bring my pee bottles with me to the date)... I really didn't want to use her washroom because I didn't want stink the place up... but it became so unbearable to the point where I could feel the turd popping out of my rectum.. to make matters worse I was actually starting to get an erection (I'm not sure why.. but that's what happened). So I rushed to the washroom... and thus begins the worst possible scenario imagineable.

I pull down my pants step up to the toilet and I am then faced with an ominous predicament; I have to extremely badly take BOTH a pee AND a POO.... AND I have an erection.... what the **** do I do? Which do I do first??

    fuuu1.jpg

So I bend over and try to push my erected penis down a bit to pee into the can... but as I relax my pelvic floor muscles to release the urine.. I feel my turd start to come out at the same time!

    fuuuu2.jpg

So then I'm like "fuk this... I'll just try and hold the pee and let the poo come out"... so I sit on the can... grasp my penis hard to try and "block" it... and I then tried to let the crap come out....that didn't work so well...

As I relaxed my anal sphincters... my pelvic floor muscles relaxed as well and piss started flying all over the floor... I started panicking at this point... so I desperately held my crap again, while I attempted to shove/bend my erect penis into the toilet. Once it was in... I tried take the piss and crap at the same time, but my ass was too far out and this massive turd started flying out missing the bowl, landing partially on the back rim and partially on the floor.

    fuuuu3.jpg

I then closed everything off again (you can't imagine the pain of repeatedly blocking yourself from peeing and pooing when you have go so badly)... wtf was I supposed to do? I either pee on her floor or poo on her floor....then out of sheer desperation and instinct an idea popped into my head:

    fuuuu4.jpg

    fuuu5.jpg

I ran into her bathtub and let myself go there... I figured that at least this way I could rinse it all down instead of getting sh!t on her floor....

    fuuu6.jpg

At that point things get even worse...

    fuuu7.jpg

The turd wouldn't ****ing dissolve... and the damn bish was asking me wtf I'm doing showering in her washroom....

I then answer "yea lol... I'm showering... is that ok?"...

she says: what the hell? why?? you don't think we're having sex do you???

At this point I can't even think straight and I jokingly (retardedly) say: yes we are lol

she then gets mad and says: wtf? is this some kind of joke... get out of there!!

I say: no please don't come in... I'm not done yet...

At this point the hot water I was using to try and dissolve my sh!t was releasing sh!t smelling vapours all over the room.. and it was pretty rancid... the girl could smell it and she said: "why the hell does it smell so ****ing bad? What the hell are you doing in there???"

I say: please don't come in... trust me.. you'll regret it...

she says: **** this... get out now or I'm unlocking the door..

I beg her not too... but she loses her patience and then opens the door. She stops dead in her tracks. There before her was me standing with a pseudo-erect penis, left over fecal residue on my ass, large semi dissolved turds in her bathtub, turds on the floor beside her toilet, and pee all over the floor in front of the can... I was so ****ing embarassed... I started shivering... she looks at me while covering her mouth and nose and whispers... "wtf did you do???"...she was starting to cry... I hesitate for a bit and I try to explain myself "I tried my best ... I... I'm sorry"... She then flips out and tells me to clean up the mess or she's calling the cops. I agree to do it.

She leaves, and I grap some toilet paper... pick up the turds from the floor and bathtub, toss them in the can, and then I proceed to clean off the floor and bathtub with soap, water and alot of tissues. I tossed most of the tissues into her toilet bowl (the garbage was full eventually). I then took some perfume from the counter and tossed into the bathtub to get rid of odour. After I was done I cleaned my ass off and flushed the toilet. To my utmost dismay, my massive fecal matter bulk and the large amount of TP unded up clogging the toilet and it overflowed and started spilling crap all over the floor... I'm literally crying at that point... I look for the plunger but I couldn't find it so I put my pants on and rushed out to ask her if she had a plunger so I could fix the toilet...I see her with her roommate and her roommates bf... she's crying... as soon as she sees me she tells me to gtfo right now... I try to explain that the toilet is clogged... but she doesn't let me ... she says she feels threatened and she wants me out now... she graps a knife from the drawer and tells me to leave... I leave.

about a minute later I hear this loud scream coming from her dorm room (I assumed she went back to the washroom to see it covered in poo water). At that point I sprinted away as fast as possible, while swearing at myself and crying tears of frustration and embarrasment.

All of this could have ****ing been prevented if I had just brought my goddamn pee bottles!!! WTF?!?! The FIRST girl that shows interest in me.. I have to go and **** in her bathtub???? This is ****ing retarded (yes mad).

to all you people saying "peeing in bottles is stupid/gross"... well **** that... not only is it more convenient and cleaner, but it also prevents epic disaters like this one....

This is what WOULD have happened if I had my trustee pee bottle... I would have on sat on the can and then simultaneosly peed into the bottle and pooed into the toilet. No disaster... no mess.... and none of this would have happened.

anyway... should I let things cool off for a bit and call her back? maybe to apologize/explain myself? or should i just hope I never run into her again?

  10. "we" don't call them vipers. "you" call them vipers.

"we" call them fighting falcons, pork falcons, porkers, LGPOS, lawn darts, tinker toys, etc.

And how many times are you going to pull this "what do you fly" shit like you're in a dick measuring contest for the insecure?

Edit: On second thought...you kinda got the point with your first statement...

  11. He faked Canadian citizenship to fight for the RAF and was the first American born citizen to be killed in World War 2.

I forgot to mention, here is a good book about a guy who fought for the RAF, even before the Eagle squadrons. It has everything we all love...flying, fucking and drinking. It's really eye opening to see the loses those dudes experienced.

Spitfires, Thunderbolts and Warm Beer: An American Fighter Pilot over Europe.

  12. Curious as to why you would say you don't think it is a good idea.

The 1911 is not as reliable, and requires more TLC, than many of the options out there. Also, they are paying a lot of money for these guns, when they could be getting a more capable weapon, for much less. Like M2 said, I own a few 1911s (planning on buying another one...or two) but I carry my XD45. I think any one of the following would have been a better option.

    FNP45

    XD45

    HK45 http://pistol-traini...m/archives/4027

    SIG 226

Some will say Glock as well...I'm just not a fan.

EDIT: Forgot to to talk about mag capacity. While nothing replaces well placed shots, when bullets start flying, this isn't always a reality. While I love the feel of a single stack, I would much rather have a higher capacity mag.

I've never really heard anything good about the beretta, always heard it lacked the stopping power. Yet I've always heard great things about the 1911, especially from those who were in the military when they made the switch to beretta.

The M9 is a decent gun...I just don't care much for it and would much rather have any one of the previously mentioned guns.

The term "knock down power" is more of a myth. Here is an interesting paper on the subject.

    http://www.firearmst...df/fbi-hwfe.pdf

Valid point, whether it is the 1911 or another manufacturer I'm glad just to see the return to the .45. The article did mention (I have no direct knowledge of if it is true) that many Spec. Ops. communities have been using the 1911, may have been a contributing factor towards the model chosen.

I like the .45ACP as well, not that the .40 or 9mm are not capable. The SEALs have used the P226 in 9mm for quite a while (although I'm pretty sure they carry whatever they want).

  13. http://www.foxnews.c...aliber-pistols/

Sticking to their guns: Marines place $22.5M order for the Colt .45 M1911

About fricken time we went back to the 1911

As a lover of the 1911 (I have two and working on another), I'm not so sure this was such a good idea. I hope I'm wrong!

Looking at the Kimber Tactical Custom II...anyone have any experience with this one?

  14. I would absolutely pass exact info to the security dude at your DET for every stage of this, i.e. from known contact to engaged to married. Leaving big changes like that for the next 5 yr investigation can completely fuck you over. Good luck.

    This!
