So there isn't religious intolerance in the Air Force? Gabe2Surf, your post summed it up nicely, but not in the way you intended, I think. Your diatribe seems to imply that if someone doesn't agree with being preached to by a Christian then they are a gay, communist, spineless yellow belly who doesn't believe in the war in Iraq and desires a sex change. In one post you managed to bash a religion, a sexual orientation, the constitution, and a political system. Congrats.

We usually go to Dare County Range in NC, Atterbury in IN, Avon Park FL, Razorback Range AR, Camp Shelby, Ft Stewart. Our scheduler is on the phone everyday begging squadrons to come work with us.

You are absolutely right there. The only problem is money. Us poor TACP guys don't get the money or support we need to train effectively.

We were just starting to fly with the HMCS, Link 16, and targeting pods when I left Misawa. I can't wait to see the nightmare of having an HTS pod and a TGP. I think guys are going to really go back and concentrate on the basics: staying visual, staying in formation, and looking outside.

No, he only needs reliable intelligence on the target. That can be imagery or a relay from somebody with eyes one (forward observer).

Ok, time to have an actual tactical discussion and leave the foot rubs to the SNAPs. CAS platforms: did you know that when a JTAC (ETAC, TACP) is giving you a real world type 2 control, there is a distinct possibility that he is sitting in a brigade command post 100 miles from the target?

The "Airborne Tab" isn't a tab the same sense as a Ranger Tab. You get a tab that says Airborne if you are assigned to the 101st or 82nd. It's just part of the division patch. A Ranger tab and airborne wings are earned.

No, the AF doesn't really give you investment advice. I hate to be this guy, but we've had some extensive threads on this topic. Try searching for "Roth IRA" "TSP" and "Stay the f*ck away from First Command" That should get you started.

You have a few guys that struggle in every B-course, but for most people it is definitely not as dramatic as the show makes it out to be. It makes it look like everyone is on the edge all the time.
