  1. I saw traffic to this effect as well, but just did the HUP in late Nov with no problems ($10). So I guess the ending contract was bad gouge. EDIT TO ADD: If you search for Microsoft HUP on the AF Portal, you can find a list of all the MAJCOM POCs. Shoot yours an e-mail from a .mil and they'll send you the code for your MAJCOM. EDIT TO THE EDIT: Link
  2. Agreed. The horse is done - starting to smell like glue in here.
  3. I guess it depends on community. In Gunships (and AFSOC in general) getting sent home from combat is about the most emasculating thing you could have happen and carries a stigma with it that takes awhile to recover from - I'm surprised it wouldn't be the same elsewhere. It also plants the bug in everyone else to question any buffoonery they're thinking about trying with "is this worth getting sent home over?". And to clarify - I'm talking about sending dudes home for stupid shit like rolling an MC-12, not for leaning forward to hack the mish.
  4. Q-3 and send home - tends to send the message.
  5. Would be shocked if you couldn't - they administer them at every other major base in the AOR.
  6. The best response to why you don't have a gun at the chow hall - "The Chaplain said I shouldn't carry it for a while."
  7. Hacker, nsplayer, et al - The Air Commando hat has been in 2903 for a while - it's not a new addition. The only change was specifically mentioning ABUs. It used to just say BDUs. What I find interesting is everyone being so up in arms over the newest version of 2903. A LOT of the stuff mentioned has been in there for YEARS (morale tabs, wheel cap for FGOs, AFSOC bush hat, etc) and all of a sudden now everyone is getting all butt hurt about it.
  8. Didn't spend hours scrubbing the list today, but by searching "Special Operations" I saw a whopping FOUR dudes at Cannon that got picked up for IDE
  9. Sounds like we're talking about the same thing. Total number of guys going to school is the same, so the more selects that HAVE to go (3rd look), the fewer non-selects are going to get picked up. What was that they preached about Cannon not having a negative impact on anyone's career?
  10. Hmmm...what do you mean by AFSOC "not doing so well"? My understanding was the SOF DT got 30 slots a year to divy out (IDE) - shouldn't be a year to year thing. At least that's how it was explained to me by an O-6 that used to work in AFSOC/A1. Did the DT get fewer slots to hand out this year?
  11. Anyone heard any updates on the IDE/SDE list? Thought it was supposed to be released last week.
  12. If you already have a Master's, doing the ACSC OLMP instead of normal correspondence would be retarded.
  13. Dammit, Misspeak on my part. I think it's 10 for a lot of the WICs - 7 seems low. Anyways - point being, WIC has a TIS limit, but not an age limit.
  14. Not an age limit, it's a time in service limit. Need a waiver for more than 7 years TIS.
  15. You also get ACSC credit if doing the Captain course (Leadership concentration) or the WIC concentration. 3 of the core classes are ACSC blocks. Once you're a Maj(s) you just have to take the 4 remaining tests to complete ACSC.
  16. 1-3 per MONTH? That blows - how long does each on typically last?
  17. This post brought to you by Jack Daniel's. Now back to your regularly scheduled discussion.
  18. What is a 5MT? Does asking that question make me a failure as an Airman?
  19. You've obviously never been stationed at Cannon.
  20. I nominate this video for "Highest WTF Factor" simply based on the amount of times it's been posted in this thread by different people.
