Looking to hire a CFI in the Columbus AFB area to be the primary instructor responsible for executing a USAF Flight Screening Syllabus. Required to be available Monday through Friday to fly/teach approximately 15 students per year (2 students every 8 weeks). Each student requires 25 flight hours and 40 hours of ground academics. You work with students to determine which days/time you do the lessons....very flexible schedule!! CFI would get approx 375 flight hours, would keep all ground instruction money, and all flight instruction money (minus $6-9 to cover insurance premiums). Opportunities exist to pick up some of the flight schools weekend PPL students and conduct aircraft checkouts for renters. Please spread the word and PM me if interested. Cap-10

Rank has no factor in what the private schools charge. Heritage is $5K per kid for the school year, K thru 6. They do offer a half day for K-4 (< $5K) but not sure if they have a half day for normal kindergarten....there is a $500 multi kid discount. No idea about financial aid...I would think not because they typically have no problem filling the classrooms. Columbus Christian is $4500 per kid with a $700 multi kid discount. No idea about financial aid. Annunciation Catholic is about $4500 as well. It is the school farthest away from the base. No idea about financial aid.

I built my own excel logbook to mirror the Jeppesen Professional logbook I use. Sort buttons at the top allow for unlimited sorting possibilities, great for breaking down time by type when filling out airline apps. Cap-10

Sportys ground school....available online/DVD/tablet. There is also a ground and flight syllabus book that you as the CFI can purchase....will cover lesson material for each lesson with references to the ground school lessons, chapters, etc. Gleim also makes similar products....little cheaper, but the books are a bit "wordy" for most students.....I like Sporty's because of the visual/video aspects. Easy there Maverick....I really like quality watches and I love jets. Put them together and its a no-brainer for me!
