  1. OK come on, lets not nitpick the poor man.
  2. When I was pledging Reserve units the Masters program was a decent “leg up” vs the traditional correspondence program. May have just been the units I was talking to and obviously the Reserves isn't necessarily the "outside" but after getting the debrief from the guys who made the selections I was sure glad I went through the ass pain of DQs and term papers.

I can't wait for the day when the Russian Army sends you a note, on official letterhead, that says somthing like "Ok, you officially own more AK and AK deriviates than we do. Will you sell us parts?"
  4. I finished mine a couple of years ago, and yes they do care about the content as you are writing. But more so to make sure that you have an early opportunity to make corrections if need be. There was a MX officer in my course who was obviously "phoning it in" during each weeks assignment with the expectation that she would go on an all out writing binge at the end of course. Absolute no go with the instructor, in fact in all my online ACSC she was the only person who got openly berated by the instructor and other classmates during the discussions.
  5. Ah hell, you actually made me "LOL"
  6. Well, in his defense he was only "recently" promoted. The seamstress probably didn't work as fast as the print shop. Ok it took me two times to get this and all I have to say is boooooo. Great pun.
  7. MH... I'm about a 25 mile a week runner thus I've had every manner of injury which I thought were inevitable. However about six months ago I switched to one of the "minimalist" shoes that are everywhere now (Vibram Five Fingers, Merrel Trail Glove, Brooks) etc... and although the transition was rough, I have been injury free since. You have to retrain your stride but I am convinced that the natural running motion has been key. I don’t think it’s a 100% cure all for everyone but It might be worth trying out. I tried several on but decided on the Merrel Trail Glove http://www.merrell.com/US/en-US/Product.mvc.aspx/22875M/50390/Mens/Barefoot-Run-Trail-Glove
  8. I would ordinarily say you are correct, but this clean up looks more like "Holy shit, the EPA will be here any day..."
  9. Thread revival... For the DM/Tucson locals; Haveco apparently was a private company located roughly at Kolb/Irvington (just across Kolb from AMARC) that used to have literally a shit ton of airframes, engines, glass and every type of aviation scrap imaginable. For years I've driven by this place and seen 70% of a 707 airframe, the cockpit of a -141, hulks of F-86s, ancient helo parts I didn't recognize and oddly enough about 30 taped up nose pieces of F-4s. After seeing literally no activity on this roughly 20 acre piece of land for several years, in the past month just about everything (I mean everything) has been cleaned off the lot. Does anyone have any idea what happened? Although it may be too late, since it is private can you go buy odd and cool crap from them? I googled the company and found a number but got no answer when I tried to call. here's the link to the Google map link if you're curious, its the triangular piece of land just east of all the -130s. About 95% of the stuff in this picture is now gone. http://maps.google.com/?ll=32.165605,-110.837932&spn=0.008183,0.016469&t=h&z=17
  10. Don't drop the course...there is no need to. Just do exactly what ThreeHoler said and you'll be fine. The DQs are a pain in the ass at first but by your third or fourth course (maybe sooner) you'll get into a rhythm where you can basically answer the DQs with no reading or research whatsoever. It’s all about key words and phrases and then being able to back them up, or back off your point intelligently if someone has a better argument. .
  11. Oh yeah...grammar. However, as humorous I was trying to be I'd rather not have to mention Rainman's junk again to get my original thought across with proper sentence structure.
  12. Admittedly, I'm a relative amateur when it comes to CAS but it sure seems to reason that getting rid of the A-10's (in all components) takes a pretty big arrow out of our quiver with regards to the more traditional symmetric wars. The Wikipedia version of the PLA shows 9000 tanks, Iran with a decent reliance on mechanized divisions and NK with about 3000 tanks of all varieties. Now with A-10s record in the asymmetric wars and with the amount of bang provided for its buck...I just don't get it.
  13. Yeah seems like a decent guy, I met Jesse Kelly last campaign and he talked a good game and gave an overall good impression...but I still think I like Sitton. But having said all of that I would vote for McSalty over the stomach turning Democrat challenger with Rainman's cock.
  14. Dave Sitton signs are starting to go up...seems like the most promising Republican.
  15. You heard here first boys; the view of the US Military is to NOT stop the enemy passing messages to each other regarding intel, command & control and other information they might find useful to KILL us.
  16. great looking watch...since its digital/analog combo is there a dual time zone capability?
  17. True...but my percieved issue is whether to file joint or seperate because we are residents of different states.
  18. Anyone have any good gouge as to when to hand the taxes over to an accountant? I've been using TurboTax for years now and it seems to be working fine, however this is the first year with the wife having full time employment so the return may be a bit more complicated. Curious if anyone has any better luck with an accountant vs turbotax (or similar) Edit: grammar.
  19. Damn...I heard the story you referenced from an ALO I worked with about 10 years ago. Very few AF related things have ever made me laugh that hard.
  20. I've been waiting all GD day for Rainman's response to this post, not nearly the venom I was hoping for. If you've ever worked with older (no offense Rainman) A-10 guys...the stories of the "M-word" are legendary. Too bad her soon to be announced Democrat challenger is about the slimiest individual I've ever met.
  21. Of course they are. I've worked with high speed acquisitions officers. Thier jobs are MUCH more important than operators. Edit: Too bad I can't edit in the bile induced from my own sarcasm.
  22. Not sure if this will help or not but I've just been through the cholesterol panels, as I don't want to take any medication for life the doc said that getting my total cholesterol around 90 (basically impossible) is about the only way to repair damage that has been done from what is essentially whole milk that has been circulating through my veins. I'm sure you could follow my horrible diet to get your numbers up but I don't think you have anything to worry about as long as all the "good" stuff that comes from cholesterol seems to working.
  23. Not sure what it says about my own personal psychology when the idea of this video pisses me off to no end but pissing on the dead taliban didn't cause an ounce of emotion either way.

I'll have to try the CCI, I've pretty much used bulk stuff so that certainly could make a difference. There is also literally thousands of web pages of people making small dremmel and sand paper mods to the the P-22 and having it work like a champ but not sure if I trust myself to do somthing that can't be fixed should I mess it up. I love the idea of the P-22 and even with the issues its improved my shooting dramatically because the amount of rounds I can put through it without having to feel like I'm going broke.

Helo (and everyone else) thanks for the posts...of course he found a great deal on the MP-15 at the BX and the kid got all the bells and whistles to go with the new toy. His choice.... About your .22 pistol, I bought the Walther P-22 for the very same reason. I like it but don't love it becuase it is finicky as hell. Lots of bad loads, slide gets stuck and a lot of misfires. Let me know how it shoots becuase I think going to replace the P-22 for a better functioning .22 pistol.
